💛 The Rotary Club of Cleveland had an outstanding program today as Andrea Boddeker presented “The Leadership Trap Nobody Talks About.”

Andrea shared powerful insights from her work in marriage and family therapy and her years as a business owner, helping us see how chronic anxiety often hides beneath high‑performing leadership. Her discussion on over‑functioning, under‑functioning, and the importance of staying calm, clear, and connected sparked meaningful reflection across the room.

We’re grateful for Andrea’s honesty, expertise, and the practical tools she offered to help leaders create healthier teams, organizations, and homes. 💙

What are some of the challenges leaders face that rarely get discussed?

Join us Tuesday, October 20, as the Rotary Club of Cleveland welcomes Andrea Boddeker for a presentation titled “The Leadership Trap Nobody Talks About.”

A longtime Rotarian, Andrea brings a unique perspective shaped by her experience in business ownership, organizational leadership, and marriage and family therapy. She currently serves as a marriage and family therapist associate and practice partner at Veritas Counseling.

Andrea will explore the pressures that often come with leadership, the importance of healthy relationships, and how understanding ourselves and others can help us become more effective leaders at work, at home, and in our communities.

đź’› Rotary families came together earlier this week for our annual Family Picnic, and it turned into one of those evenings that reminds you why community matters. Kids ran across the park, parents caught up under the pavilion, and conversations flowed easily in every direction. It was relaxed, fun, and full of the kind of connection that strengthens our club beyond our weekly meetings.

Grateful for everyone who made time to be there and helped create a warm, welcoming night for all ages. Moments like these are a reminder that Rotary isn’t just service — it’s family. 💙

Board Spotlight: Andrea Boddeker - Vice President

We are proud to shine the spotlight on Andrea Boddeker, our Rotary Club Vice President this year!

Andrea is a practice partner and therapist at Veritas Counseling, where she uses her skills and experience to support others. She brings that same heart for service to Rotary, believing that serving others means being willing to use your time, talents, and relationships wherever they are needed.

For Andrea, “Service Above Self” means helping people feel supported, connected, and valued. Whether through Rotary, her work as a therapist, or simply showing up when there is a need, Andrea believes that small acts of service can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

When Andrea isn't working or serving through Rotary, she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

We are grateful for Andrea’s willingness to serve in a leadership role this year and for the compassion, skills, and dedication she brings to our club and our community.

Thank you, Andrea, for your leadership, your service, and your commitment to living out “Service Above Self”! 💙
