Emily shared a public health perspective on firearm safety, emphasizing the importance of open communication, responsibility, and community engagement in preventing accidents and creating safer communities for Tennessee families.

Tomorrow at Rotary: Public Health & Community Safety

Join us Tuesday, September 1, as the Rotary Club of Cleveland welcomes Emily Holden, B.S., M.P.H., for a timely presentation titled “Addressing a Public Health Crisis: The Impact of Fi****ms on Our Community.”

A Chattanooga native and public health advocate, Emily works with Voices for a Safer Tennessee, a nonpartisan nonprofit coalition focused on advancing data-driven approaches to firearm safety while respecting Second Amendment rights.

Emily will discuss firearm-related injuries and deaths through a public health lens, including the factors that affect community safety and well-being, approaches to prevention, and the role constructive community engagement can play in addressing these challenges.

This program offers an opportunity to hear a public health perspective on an important and complex issue and to learn more about the work being done across Tennessee.

💛 The Rotary Club of Cleveland enjoyed an inspiring program this week from Brittany Katz, owner of Terra Running Company and chair of our Care & Concern Committee. Brittany shared how her business has grown far beyond retail—building community through youth running programs, race timing partnerships, and events that bring people together across Cleveland.

From free group runs and summer camps to the Cleveland Half Marathon and Turkey Trot, Brittany continues to show how a local business can strengthen a city by investing in people. We’re grateful for her leadership, her passion for service, and the impact Terra Running Company has made in our community. 💙
