We just wanted to take a moment to thank just a few of the many people that make the Waterloo Arts Fest so special.

Big thanks to Chris Cook aka Pokes One for all the years of contributing your art during the Festival - live painting, banners, backdrops and more. Make sure you say hi to him while he is live painting tomorrow!

And if you didn’t hear, this year’s theme is “Rock & Roll Cats in Space” and local artist Cate Hudson made some amazing Sketchbook Murals showcasing only the coolest Rock & Roll Cats (including this band “Litterbox Betrayal" haha). These will be out on the street for people to paint - so make sure not to miss them.

We’d also like to thank Kris Ropp at Free Spirit Farm (and her furry friends) for donating the hay bales that will be in the Children’s Play Area this year. Free Spirit Farm is a lovely equestrian farm in Novelty, Ohio where you can take lessons in a beautifully serene country setting.

And lastly, we wanted to shout out Patty Bode and the Remember Love Recovery Project. Join them tomorrow to make Recovery Flags that destigmatize addiction disorder through art, education and connections to care. Free Narcan and Harm Reduction resources will be distributed in their tent by Metrohealth's Project Dawn & the Centers for Children and Families.

We can’t wait to see all your smiling faces tomorrow! That’s right, the Waterloo Arts Fest is TOMORROW - Saturday, September 13 from noon-7pm. Over the past twenty four years the festival has grown, but one thing that hasn’t changed is our commitment to our community. For seven hours each year, the Waterloo Arts Fest reminds residents and visitors of the many assets in the Waterloo Arts District, of the incredible potential still to be realized and how wonderful it is to live in an urban neighborhood with great people. ONLY ONE DAY TIL THE FEST!

Construction Notice! There is construction on Villaview Rd. between Nottingham Rd. and E 161st - the traffic is only running east bound. If you exit from E185th street, you will have to take a detour to reach the fest.

We suggest exiting at E152 and parking at the Jergens, Inc parking lot located at 15700 South Waterloo Rd. (next to Greater Cleveland Food Bank) to catch the FREE SHUTTLE. It drops you off at the festival’s West End (Calcutta & Waterloo) and runs continuously from 11:00am - 8:00pm.

Waterloo Arts worked with students at the Cleveland School of the Arts to create this year’s theme: Rock & Roll Cats in Space! Our official Fest T-Shirt was designed by the amazing Sequoia Bostick Art, local artist and illustrator. The shirts are $25 and will be available at the Info Booth at the intersection of E 156 & Waterloo (adult sizes only).

Big thanks to Brittany Quinn's class at CSA for coming up with the theme, and for spending the last couple of weeks creating rock and roll space cat props for the kids area!

Join volunteers from Cleveland Plogs, Collinwood Better Streets, and Waterloo Arts on Thursday September 11th for a Waterloo street cleanup! Volunteers will meet at 6pm outside Waterloo Arts (15600 Waterloo Rd) and then clean our way through the Waterloo Arts District and surrounding streets. We’ll have bags, gloves, and hand sanitizer. Once everyone has picked up trash on their route, we’ll meet back up at Waterloo Arts for a trashy post-plogging photo and some refreshments. Only 6 days until the Fest!

Driving to the Fest? Don’t worry about parking - take our FREE SHUTTLE! Head to the Jergens, Inc parking lot located at 15700 South Waterloo Rd. (next to Greater Cleveland Food Bank) to catch the shuttle. It drops you off at the festival’s West End (Calcutta & Waterloo) and runs continuously from 11:00am - 8:00pm.

There is also street parking throughout the surrounding neighborhood - but remember, Waterloo Road is closed from Calcutta Ave to E 161st St and E 156th is closed from Lucknow to Calcutta - so plan accordingly.

Riding your bike? There are plenty of bike racks throughout the area - but please walk your bike while inside the festival grounds. Only 8 days until the Fest!
