We were thrilled to have such strong support from state elected officials from across the region at this week’s West Side Community Resource Center Unveiling.

Their support means so much - not just on this day, but as they continue standing with our neighbors in need and helping advance the fight against hunger across Ohio.

Thank you to our partners in the Ohio House and Senate for being part of this important moment.

We are deeply grateful to Rep. Shontel Brown for her unwavering partnership in the fight against hunger!

Congresswoman Brown joined us Tuesday as we unveiled plans for our new West Side Community Resource Center at 9830 Lorain Ave., and her support through Community Project Funding is making a transformational difference.

This Center will bring nutritious food, benefits assistance, healthcare navigation, workforce services, and more together under one roof – so our neighbors facing hunger can thrive.

Thank you, Congresswoman Brown, for championing food security in Washington, and for investing in a stronger, healthier Greater Cleveland. We are grateful to have you as a partner in this work!

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our friends at Cleveland Clinic for their ongoing commitment to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and the fight against hunger. At yesterday’s unveiling of our new West Side Community Resource Center, the Cleveland Clinic announced a $5 million investment to support our Community Resource Centers and expand the opportunities they provide for our neighbors.

This generous support will help us continue breaking down barriers and connecting neighbors to nutritious food, benefits assistance, healthcare, workforce programs, and so much more – all in a one-stop shop.

In recognition of Cleveland Clinic’s dedication to our mission, we are proud to name our Healthy Choice Market at the West Side CRC in their honor. Thank you!

No family should lose their grocery money because of outdated card security.

We are grateful to see the Ohio House of Representatives and Ohio Senate unanimously pass legislation to strengthen protections against SNAP benefit theft and help ensure that benefits reach the families they are intended to serve.

HB 163 and SB 315 are practical, bipartisan solutions that will help protect Ohioans from electronic benefit theft while safeguarding public resources.

Thank you to Senator State Senator Tim Schaffer, Representative Tristan Rader Rader, Chairman State Senator Jerry Cirino, and the many legislators in both chambers who supported this effort. We appreciate your leadership and commitment to protecting Ohio families from benefit theft!
