Meet Shelby, a 31-pound, 6-year-old Mini Bernedoodle ready for her forever home. After spending the first six years of her life in a puppy mill, she arrived at The Rescue Inn in mid-July. She has spent the last few weeks in foster care learning how to be a cherished pet.
Shelby is dog-friendly. She requires a home with a confident resident dog to show her the ropes and help her build confidence. Because everything in the outside world is new to her, she needs a patient family dedicated to teaching her how to navigate life as a beloved family companion.
As a Mini Bernedoodle, Shelby has a coat that requires regular maintenance. Her adoptive family must be committed to routine brushing at home and professional grooming every 6 to 8 weeks to keep her coat healthy, tangle-free, and comfortable.
