We’re headed to the okczoo today for our second birthday celebration! This handsome fella is Bakari, and today is his 20th birthday! Originally born at the Cincinnati Zoo, Bakari made his way to Oklahoma in 2012 to join their bachelor group. We hope you and your bachelor crew had a great day celebrating your bday!

We’re headed to the Cincinnati Zoo today for our first birthday celebration! This lovely lady is Mara, and today is her 31st birthday! Born and raised at the Cincinnati Zoo, Mara has obviously been a mainstay in Cincy to thousands of visitors and numerous staff. We’re headed to The Toledo Zoo today for our birthday celebration! This handsome fella is Michael, and today is his 6th birthday! Born and raised at the Toledo Zoo, Michael has been growing up quite a bit in the last year. Along with behalf brother Mokonzi (9 in November) and the rest of your troop, we hope you had a ball today and people came near and far for your special day!

We’re headed to the ABQ BioPark today for our birthday celebration! This lovely lady is Mashika, and today is her 4th birthday! Born and raised at the ABQ BioPark, Mashika was aptly named because her name means “born during the rainy season” - she was born during New Mexico’s monsoon season! We heard your party was a four-nado theme because she may resemble a tornado! Hope you and your group blew the party away today!

We’re headed to the Detroit Zoo today for our 4th and final birthday celebration! This lovely lady is Motema, and today is her 2nd birthday! Born and raised at the Detroit Zoo, Motema has the honorable distinction of being the first gorilla born at the zoo in their then 96 year history. With a name meaning “heart” in the Lingala language, we know that Mo has stolen the hearts of all the keepers and visitors each day that get to see her! Now that she’s a big sister, we can’t wait to see the fun to come in Detroit for years to come!

We’re staying at Omaha's Zoo & Aquarium today for our third of 4 birthday celebrations! This handsome fella is Tambo, and today is also his 32nd birthday! Originally born at the Bronx Zoo, Tambo made his way to Omaha in 2001 is the leader of the family group! While he also does love his browse, keepers say Tambo is a patient family man that an amazing leader to his lovely ladies! We hope your day was amazing, surrounded by your favorite keeper and gorilla friends!
