Project Free 2 Fly

We use the skill of sewing to support, nurture, and empower. Free 2 Fly was founded to serve unemployed women in our community who are wanting a new path in life. We seek to equip them for long-term success and sustainability in the workforce. We are a work program that comes alongside women desiring to rise above their circumstances. Whether it’s transitioning out of homelessness, facing a crisis

pregnancy or trying to break the poverty cycle in her family, we desire to support, nurture and empower her to pursue a life of meaning and purpose. Many of our women are referenced from other organizations with short-term initiatives serving specific needs. We seek to serve as a bridge program that continues working with these women longer term as we help them set specific goals for their future - goals that vary for each woman. No matter what objectives she establishes for herself, we desire to supply the resources and counsel for her to be able to obtain them. We believe our continued investment will give her the foundations, education and enrichment needed to realize her value to our community and her family. These foundations will set her on a path where she can succeed and thrive within our community. We SUPPORT: BY TEACHING HER THE SKILL OF SEWING. OUR LINE OF PRODUCTS ARE MADE BY THE WOMEN IN OUR PROGRAM & PROFITS FROM OUR SALES ARE GIVEN BACK TO THEM. We NURTURE: BY CONNECTING HER TO A MENTOR WHO IS NOT ONLY TEACHING HER TO SEW, BUT ALSO INVESTING IN HER. WORKING TOGETHER, THEY ESTABLISH GOALS FOR HER FUTURE AND SET A COURSE OF ACTION TO PURSUE THEM. SHE IS ALSO CONNECTED TO ADDITIONAL RESOURCES SUCH AS PERSONAL, CAREER & FINANCIAL COUNSELING. We EMPOWER: BY EQUIPPING HER WITH THE REALIZATION THAT SHE CAN BE SUCCESSFUL. SHE CAN CONTINUE DOWN THIS NEW PATH AND PURSUE THE LIFE SHE HAS ALWAYS DREAMED ABOUT. Our ultimate goal is to see women succeed, thrive and ultimately...fly on their own.
