We’re thrilled to welcome a new volunteer partnership with the Master Gardener Volunteers of Cuyahoga County, Ohio 🌿

Today, Towers residents had the opportunity to create cyanotypes -beautiful blue-and-white prints made using sunlight, a photographic process first introduced in 1842 and often used to capture the delicate shapes of leaves, flowers and other natural materials.

This is the beginning of monthly programs with the Master Gardeners, giving residents opportunities to get their hands dirty, try something new, learn along the way and enjoy the simple pleasure of growing, creating and connecting with nature.

A fresh cut and a lot of smiles today!

A big thank you to the students and instructors from West Park Barber School, who spent the day with us and provided haircuts for about 45 men.

There was plenty of conversation, laughter and some great new looks.

We are also so thankful for our staff who helped get everyone ready and made sure residents could get back and forth to the Commons throughout the day. It truly took a team to make it happen.

Sometimes it is the simple things — a fresh haircut, a little conversation and feeling good when you look in the mirror — that can make someone's day.

From tie-dye shirts and friendship bracelets to fishing, games, crafts, and more, our residents are getting ready for a week full of fun, laughter, and connection during Happy Campers Week, August 17-20!

☀️Did you know? St. Augustine Health Ministries is the only facility in Ohio that provides residents with a week-long vacation experience. This special tradition creates unforgettable memories and gives residents the chance to enjoy all the fun of summer camp.

We're looking for volunteers to help make this week extra special. Your time and support can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

Take a look at all the exciting activities planned for Happy Campers Week! Residents will be creating felt owls, tie-dyeing shirts, decorating hats, playing games, fishing, making friendship bracelets, and enjoying so much more.

The best part? You can jump into any activity alongside a resident and help make the experience extra special.

We're still looking for volunteers who can help us keep the camp spirit alive throughout the week. Whether you have an hour, a day, or several days to give, your time makes a difference.
