Integrated Community Solutions

Integrated Community Solutions What started as one mom's fear, "What will happen to my children when I'm gone?", became a movement serving 500+ Northeast Ohio families and growing.

Integrated Community Solutions has supported 500+ individuals with disabilities through free, inclusive programming and is developing an innovative residential community that includes home ownership, where people can belong, build friendships, and thrive. Lisa Morrison, psychology professor and mother of three adults with autism, refused to wait for solutions that never came. For over four years,

she's built a thriving community through free weekly programs: art groups, game nights, yoga, basketball, and volunteer opportunities where adults with developmental disabilities form real friendships and experience genuine inclusion. In Ohio, 267,875 people live with developmental disabilities. 25% still live with aging caregivers over 60. These families face isolation, limited options, and constant worry about the future. Traditional systems fail them. Lisa decided to build something different. This isn't just programming, it's proof that inclusion works when you create space for it. Every week, adults with DD and their families find community, dignity, and belonging. No institution. No isolation. Just real connection. From "What will happen to them?" to "You're not alone. We're building this together."

Our ICS Volunteers spent some time serving our community alongside the Medina Sunrise Rotary, helping clean and beautify the Medina 9/11 Memorial. πŸ§ΉπŸŒΏπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

We are so grateful to the Sunrise Rotary for welcoming our volunteers and giving us the opportunity to work alongside them. 🀝 Our participants enjoyed meeting Rotary members, learning more about the incredible ways Rotary serves our community, and being part of something. πŸ’™

People with developmental disabilities are not just recipients of community services. They are volunteers, neighbors, coworkers, friends, and community members who want to contribute and make a difference. 🌎✨ Thank you, Medina Sunrise Rotary, for making room at the table and giving our volunteers the opportunity to serve alongside you. We are grateful to be part of this community! πŸ™ŒπŸ’šπŸ’›

Game Night brought new games, new friends, and plenty of laughs. It is always a good time when this group gets together to try something new and hang out.

Special thanks to Mary Ogle and her niece Erin for joining in and bringing so much energy to the room. And thank you to the Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities for the space to make nights like this happen.

Walk & Roll spent an evening exploring Shotwell Gardens, the newest addition to the Medina County Park District. πŸ’šπŸŒ³πŸƒ The gardens were full of color, and everyone was eager to check out the new amphitheater, which is a great spot for community events! 🀩πŸ₯³

No Walk & Roll outing is complete without a treat, so the group wrapped things up with popsicles and plenty of laughs. πŸ₯°πŸ§ Good weather, wonderful company, and a beautiful new space to explore together! πŸ’šπŸŒ³

Huge thanks to the Medina County Park District for creating a place our community can enjoy for years to come, and to the Shotwell Family for this wonderful and thoughtful donation to our community πŸ₯°πŸ’šπŸŒ³πŸ₯°

🀩Art Group had a full house for a summer firefly painting session! πŸ₯° Brushes were out, colors were everywhere, and everyone left with their own take on the scene.πŸ₯³ There is nothing better than creating something together and sharing some laughs along the way.

Thank you to Access The Arts, Brave Mim Daniel, and the Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities for making days like this possible. Their creativity, kindness, and support mean a lot to this group. πŸ’™πŸ’šπŸŽ¨πŸ–Œ

πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈπŸ’ͺ Self Advocacy, Wellness & Moving Our Bodies! πŸ’šπŸ’› Our ICS Self Advocacy Group recently got together for an important conversation about the benefits of exercise and taking care of our health. ❀️
Then it was time to put that conversation into action with a wonderful Chair Yoga session! πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈβœ¨

Our group members learned that exercise doesn’t have to mean going to a gym or doing something difficult. There are many ways to move our bodies, build strength and flexibility, and feel our best! 🌿πŸ’ͺ
Our group members left feeling flexible, energized, and proud of themselves for trying something new. πŸ™Œ

We are so grateful to the Medina Recreation Center for the warm welcome and for partnering with ICS to create opportunities for our members to learn, grow, connect, and take an active role in their own well being. πŸ€πŸ’š

This is self advocacy. This is community. This is belonging. πŸ’›. Thank you, Medina Recreation Center, for being such a wonderful partner! πŸ₯°

😍🌟Our Running Team hit the pavement in City of Cleveland - City Hall for the Parrot Head Run5K!πŸ’œπŸŽ‰ The sun was out, the group was ready, and everyone crossed that finish line with a whole lot of grit.

There is something about racing side by side with friends that makes these events stick with you. It is not just about the miles, it is about showing up for each other and celebrating every step of the way.πŸ’•πŸ€—

A huge thank you to our Special Olympics Ohio - Medina County track coaches, Andy Sharp and Kelle Delores Sorber , for the patience, encouragement, and dedication they bring to this group week after week. πŸ’œπŸ’™ Their support helps these athletes grow more confident and reach goals they used to think were out of reach. Here is to many more miles and memories together. ☺️πŸ₯³πŸŽ‰πŸŽŠ
