Malachi House Malachi House cares for the terminally ill in Cleveland who have no caregiver or no available funds to pay for care. We are supported by donations only.

Nestled in historic Ohio City, our Home provides comfort to those in the final stages of their lives in a setting that was originally four row houses donated to St. Malachi Church. More than 100,000 volunteer hours were donated to the gutting and complete reconstruction of these houses into a warm and comfortable home that includes private bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and a chapel plus activity rooms. Over the past 32 years, Malachi House has served as a final home for over 2500 people, caring for 15 of them at a time.

A great day in the community!

Malachi House Executive Director Judy Ghazoul Hilow, alongside her family, was thrilled to attend Cleveland State University Day with the Cleveland Guardians this past weekend! As a CSU alumna and CSU Foundation Board Member, Judy was proud to represent Malachi House and celebrate her connection to the university.

Even better, she had the chance to run into two familiar faces, Malachi House volunteers Mike and Chris, who also have their own CSU connections!

We love seeing the Malachi House community come together in unexpected places.

This past weekend, Jade and Jameson, children of Malachi House Board Member Jonathan Onk and his wife, June, hosted a lemonade stand benefiting Malachi House, donating all of the proceeds to the House.

We’re so grateful to Jonathan and June for teaching their kids the importance of giving back, and to Jade and Jameson for putting their big hearts to work!

A special thank you to Thomas Kess of Angelo’s Pizza, Dieter Bamberger of Sanson Produce, Tom and Adria Clark of Blackbird Baking Company, Julie M. Johnson of Hunger Network, and Goldie’s Donuts for helping make the lemonade stand possible through their generous donations and support.

TOMORROW'S THE DAY! 🍋

A huge thank you to our board member, Jonathan Onk, and his wife June, for their dedication and for coming up with this wonderful idea to give back to Malachi House.

Their children, Jade and Jameson, wanted to make a difference by selling lemonade and donating the proceeds to support the House - and we couldn’t appreciate their big hearts more!

Join us August 29 from 11 AM–1 PM in the Malachi House parking lot for a refreshing cup (or two!) of lemonade for a great cause. 🍋
