It’s been so hard to keep this to ourselves while waiting for the official letter… special thanks to Chief Mills & 1st Assistant Chief Stanley for conducting the business inspections, everyone who has helped with smoke alarm installations, and those who help educate the public at our various events! Great teamwork CEFD!

Congratulations to the Cle Elum Volunteer Fire Department!

The department's Washington Surveying and Rating Bureau (WSRB) fire protection classification has improved from a 6 to a 4.

This achievement reflects countless hours of training, planning, equipment maintenance, and dedication to serving our community. Improved fire protection ratings can also have positive impacts for property owners and businesses throughout the area.

Thank you to the firefighters, staff, and everyone involved in making this happen. Your hard work does not go unnoticed.
