This week, we're sharing an Education Foundation sponsored BAM (Because Art Matters) project. Elementary students have been trying their hand at a Japanese art form called Notan, a study that looks at balance, contrast and symmetry.

Last week, Missoula Children's Theatre brought Sleeping Beauty to our schools! 45 students took part in the production, and our elementary students enjoyed a special theater assembly on Friday.

Thanks to the Education Foundation for Cle Elum-Roslyn Schools and the district, this opportunity is fully funded for all participants.

Another Education Foundation funded Grant in action! Kristen Anderson's Hi-Cap class has been building and testing Rube Goldberg machines.

3rd, 4th and 5th grade students have been doing research on basic principles of physics. Students collaborate by conducting fair tests to see how ramp height, surface type, and mass of colliding objects affect the speed and/or distance by objects within a system. The supplies used for these machines were made possible with a grant funded by the Education Foundation to support STEM learning in our schools.
