On Sunday, an elderly couple noticed a car stopped on the road near their house. A little while later, they noticed a cat on their property that they had never seen. Living in a wooded area near Grafton Pond, they knew that there was no cat there previously. They immediately tried to catch it but it was scared so they reached out to multiple resources but were told that no one could help them. Tonight, exasperated and worried, they called us and asked if we could help. Within an hour, our director, VP, and another volunteer were at their house. While two of them distracted the cat with loud pss, pss, our third volunteer snuck up behind the cat and grabbed him! The elderly couple was thrilled! By the time our volunteers arrived back in Claremont, this sweet boy was purring and loving our attention. Welcome Prince Alexander III, tonight you are safe and do not need to worry about becoming a meal for the many animals that live in the woods near Grafton Pond.
