🩵🦁Let’s Welcome Mrs. Susan Mitchell to LCA!

Hello! My name is Susan Mitchell, and I am excited to join Liberty Christian Academy as the new third grade teacher.

My family and I live in Clanton, Alabama, and we attend Grace Fellowship Church. I graduated from the University of Montevallo in 1996 with a BS in Education, specializing in Elementary and Early Childhood Education.

I just retired from my position at Isabella High School where I taught 2nd and 3rd grade for 26 years. I love helping children grow academically, develop confidence in their abilities, and discover the unique gifts God has given them.

When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our four sons.

I am truly grateful for the opportunity to become part of the LCA family and look forward to getting to know my students and their families. I am excited for a wonderful year of learning and growth as we work together to help each child thrive.

My name is Forest Johnson, and I am thrilled to join the team at Liberty Christian Academy. My wife, Emily, and I live in Clanton and are active members of Clanton Church of God, where we volunteer in the children’s ministry.
I graduated from the University of Montevallo in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I have worked in education for the past three years, and during that time, I discovered my passion for helping students learn and grow. I have experience teaching both fourth and fifth grades. In my free time, you can usually find me exploring antique stores. I am excited to meet my students and families, and I look forward to a wonderful year at Liberty Christian Academy!

We wanted to share some fun pictures from our 3rd Annual LCA Fun Run! What an awesome day full of fun, smiles, and great memories.

We are so thankful for everyone who helped make this event possible and for all who supported our students!

🏆 Mrs. Sara’s class raised the most this year and celebrated with a pizza party!
👏 We’re also recognizing our top 3 fundraisers for an amazing job!

I have retired from the Chilton County School system after 30 years of teaching and coaching. During that 30 years I served as the Head Football Coach at both Jemison and Maplesville High School. I am certified to teach History, English, and have a Master's Degree in Physical Education. I am married to Gina and have two sons Jackson and Aidan. I am excited to be joining the Liberty Christian Lions family in the upcoming 26-27 school year. LION PRIDE!!!

What a special day celebrating our Kindergarten Graduates! 🎓💙

Our kindergarten graduation was such an awesome time, and we could not be more proud of these sweet kiddos! Watching how much they have learned and grown this year has been such a blessing. We know God has big plans ahead for each of them! Congratulations, Kindergarten Class of 2026!
