As I was getting ready for church this morning, the Father began to speak to me. He was speaking to me about how we can do damage as Christians when we don’t recognize the denial of wounds in our lives.

A lot of people don’t deal with their own trauma but they try to heal their trauma (wounds) by helping others they’ve trauma bonded with (trauma bond means to bond with someone who has similar wounds). This makes you a limited emotional support and a conditional lover at best. Unconditional love, the kind Jesus has for us, is unconditional due to the fact that His blood healed it and worked out our salvation, healing, and deliverance. But if we never work through it or constantly deny our trauma it can never service for deeper healing! The sacrifice never has to be remade but the blood has to be reapplied like ointment!

Once upon a time I thought because Jesus’ blood covers my sin, means it’s all under the blood and I don’t always need to “dwell in the past” and focus on it. And while that statement is true. It was twisted to believe that I could rescue others who have experienced hurts, pains, and sins similar to mine by denying my pain or trauma (wounds) and “moving forward”. The truth is God still deals with the pain, wounds, and the sin. And we need to as well.

““Do not remember former things, nor consider things of the past.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭18‬ ‭TLV‬‬

When you have “triggers” (triggers are things that happen and in the moment cause you to have to stop and experience your wounds all over because something similar happens) and “wounds” consider this, you are remembering the former things. If you do not heal of the wounds, forgive, and let the family of God help you heal in community, or in community of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit it brings a form of deception that leaves an open door for the enemy. You can only deny emotions and feelings so long. Emotions are terrible masters, but great indicators. Our Master is Yeshua, and walking in the Spirit of God. We do need to deny self indulgence, but that does not mean denying reality of the harm I’ve caused. You are trapped in the past and “dwelling on the former things” and remembering the past if you do not heal because Jesus made healing possible! You are trapped in a prison of the past when you cannot move forward in healing and forgiveness. If you need help with this process please reach out!

“The pain behind us often blocks the joy ahead”

“I too have felt disrespected but instead of letting it wound me, I learned from it by rising above it.”

From House of David.

Many of us stay bound by our wounds or trauma that we experience. We were never meant to carry around the kind of wounds we allow permanent damage when it was meant to be a temporary landing space. You are the temple of God if you have chosen to make Jesus (Yeshua) Lord. What is taking up space that is suppose to be given to His presence, purpose, or even peace.

What is keeping you from moving forward that you haven’t allowed the Lord to heal? Is it a feeling, a stubbornness, something you’ve accepted as “who you are”? May the Lord meet you where you are today and bless you with a deeper inner measure of healing for the journey ahead!

“He heals the wounds of every shattered heart.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭147‬:‭3‬ ‭TPT‬‬

“I am doing something brand new, something unheard of. Even now it sprouts and grows and matures. Don’t you perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and open up flowing streams in the desert.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭19‬ ‭TPT‬‬

The Messiah has come, his name is Immanuel, Christ with us. Some call Him Yeshua! But He is here with us!

The concept of Rooftop Ministries! This is what we’re here for!

Photoshop of the day - Lower me down, so Jesus can raise me up.

If you turn to Mark 2, you'll read about one of the very first miracles that Jesus performed in His earthly ministry. And of all the miracles that Jesus did, this one definitely stands out among the rest.

Jesus was surrounded by a crown as He preached to them inside of a home. All the while a paralyzed man was being carried by four of his friends, and they had to literally break a hole in the roof just to get to Jesus. The Bible says that the four men lowered their friend (mat and all), down to Jesus for a miracle. And Jesus was so moved by their faith, that their friend actually received two miracles that day. He was forgiven of his sins, and he was cured of his paralysis and able to walk again. Jesus addressed both the spiritual and physical needs of this man, and the crowd (which at first had been an obstacle) was now given a front row seat of God's power.

This of course is foreshadowing of the gospel of Christ that would be revealed at the end of His ministry. While healing the sick and giving sight to the blind is something that God can do, it doesn't really matter very much if you are still dead in your sins. Christ would go to a cross, experience the torture and humiliation, and pay the penalty for our sins with His death. He would go down into the grave and hell, and then be raised up three days later. He had to go down before He would go up.

Likewise with the paralyzed man, he had to go down to Jesus. This wasn't time for good works, earning favor, or doing anything in your own power to deserve grace. In fact the man couldn't do any of those thing. This miracle was never about what you can do, but what Christ can do. And ironically, it wasn't even his faith that saved him, it was the faith of others. God is showing us that there is absolutely NOTHING we bring to the table that makes us worthy.

The paralyzed man went down, and Jesus raised Him up. That's really all that is required of us for salvation. We must come humbly before Him, recognizing that there is nothing we can do on our own. We are dead spiritually and we are also "paralyzed" with in the inability to save ourselves. And when we get to that point, it is when Jesus will reveal His grace and mercy to us.

Finally, don't wait for the crowd to cooperate with you before you go down. You might spend all our life waiting for just the right moment, when everything has turned out exactly as you planned. Only to realize that that day really never arrives. Jesus is always available and ready to forgive you of your sins. Go down, and He'll raise you up!

If a church, a pastor/shepherd, leadership team member or Christian hurt you, it’s not from the true Good Shepherd - Jesus!

Each Shepherd was once a sheep, and the only true Shepherd is the Good Shepherd Psalm 23 speaks of.

When I was younger in ministry I experienced some major church hurt. I had some amazing church pastors and some not so kind or full with the fruit of the Spirit. But one thing God showed me when I went through the season is regardless God is a Good Shepherd and He wasn’t backing every pastor who claimed His name. He even gave me dreams at times about situations going on behind the scenes that there was no way I could have known, but later proved true. See, I can be devoted to my church and pastors now because I know the ultimate trust is not placed in the men shepherds or the women shepherds of now, but my trust is placed in the One True Good Shepherd of the Bible.

Here is what He has to say about Shepherds/Pastors who misrepresent His name, Image, Nature, and Character:

Ezekiel‬ ‭34‬:‭1‬-‭31‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ ⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️

“Then the word of the Lord came to me saying, “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel. Prophesy and say to those shepherds, ‘Thus says the Lord God, “Woe, shepherds of Israel who have been feeding themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flock? You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the fat sheep without feeding the flock. Those who are sickly you have not strengthened, the diseased you have not healed, the broken you have not bound up, the scattered you have not brought back, nor have you sought for the lost; but with force and with severity you have dominated them. They were scattered for lack of a shepherd, and they became food for every beast of the field and were scattered. My flock wandered through all the mountains and on every high hill; My flock was scattered over all the surface of the earth, and there was no one to search or seek for them.” ’ ” Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord: “As I live,” declares the Lord God, “surely because My flock has become a prey, My flock has even become food for all the beasts of the field for lack of a shepherd, and My shepherds did not search for My flock, but rather the shepherds fed themselves and did not feed My flock; therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord: ‘Thus says the Lord God, “Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will demand My sheep from them and make them cease from feeding sheep. So the shepherds will not feed themselves anymore, but I will deliver My flock from their mouth, so that they will not be food for them.” ’ ” For thus says the Lord God, “Behold, I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out. As a shepherd cares for his herd in the day when he is among his scattered sheep, so I will care for My sheep and will deliver them from all the places to which they were scattered on a cloudy and gloomy day. I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries and bring them to their own land; and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the streams, and in all the inhabited places of the land. I will feed them in a good pasture, and their grazing ground will be on the mountain heights of Israel. There they will lie down on good grazing ground and feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel. I will feed My flock and I will lead them to rest,” declares the Lord God. “I will seek the lost, bring back the scattered, bind up the broken and strengthen the sick; but the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them with judgment. “As for you, My flock, thus says the Lord God, ‘Behold, I will judge between one sheep and another, between the rams and the male goats. Is it too slight a thing for you that you should feed in the good pasture, that you must tread down with your feet the rest of your pastures? Or that you should drink of the clear waters, that you must foul the rest with your feet? As for My flock, they must eat what you tread down with your feet and drink what you foul with your feet!’ ” Therefore, thus says the Lord God to them, “Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep. Because you push with side and with shoulder, and thrust at all the weak with your horns until you have scattered them abroad, therefore, I will deliver My flock, and they will no longer be a prey; and I will judge between one sheep and another. “Then I will set over them one shepherd, My servant David, and he will feed them; he will feed them himself and be their shepherd. And I, the Lord, will be their God, and My servant David will be prince among them; I the Lord have spoken. “I will make a covenant of peace with them and eliminate harmful beasts from the land so that they may live securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods. I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing. And I will cause showers to come down in their season; they will be showers of blessing. Also the tree of the field will yield its fruit and the earth will yield its increase, and they will be secure on their land. Then they will know that I am the Lord, when I have broken the bars of their yoke and have delivered them from the hand of those who enslaved them. They will no longer be a prey to the nations, and the beasts of the earth will not devour them; but they will live securely, and no one will make them afraid. I will establish for them a renowned planting place, and they will not again be victims of famine in the land, and they will not endure the insults of the nations anymore. Then they will know that I, the Lord their God, am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are My people,” declares the Lord God. “As for you, My sheep, the sheep of My pasture, you are men, and I am your God,” declares the Lord God.”

There are appointed times in the scripture that all point to what a wonderful Savior we have. One of those appointed times was Passover. It started in the Old Testament when the Plagues of Egypt took place and God told His chosen children to put the spotless blood of a lamb over their door post and then the death of the first born would pass over them. Fast forward to the New Testament and Jesus satisfied that Passover season by becoming the perfect, spotless lamb that shed His blood for all. Now by celebrating or recognizing Passover, we recognize the only way for death and destruction to passover and for eternal life and deliverance to be brought to our household is that we believe and receive that Jesus is that Passover lamb and when we submit to Him we are sealing our doorpost with His blood.

Remember that as the sun is going down, it begins a new Passover season!

Blessings to you!

Today is a day of GRATITUDE. I am grateful and full of thanks for my God and His forgiving heart!

“With my whole heart, with my whole life, and with my innermost being, I bow in wonder and love before you, the holy God! So bless the Lord, all his messengers of power, for you are his mighty heroes who listen intently to the voice of his word to do it. Bless and praise the Lord, you mighty warriors, ministers who serve him well and fulfill his desires. I will bless and praise the Lord with my whole heart! Let all his works throughout the earth, wherever his dominion stretches— let everything bless the Lord!”

Today, at sundown, began the Hebraic new year 5785! Rosh Hashanah = Head of the Year

5785 is stepping through the door of promise from 5784 to double grace, completion, and new beginnings! This a time of speaking two forms of the breath of God!

“Adonai make His face to shine on you and be gracious to you!”
‭‭Numbers‬ ‭6‬:‭25‬ ‭TLV‬‬

“Therefore let us draw near to the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help in time of need.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭16‬ ‭TLV‬‬

5 (Hei) – Grace, Revelation, and Divine Breath
There may be an emphasis on God "breathing" new life into areas that have been dormant. And areas of God “breathing” blessing into the spirit of man!

7 (Zayin) – Spiritual Warfare, Completion, and Rest
"Zayin" represents a sword or weapon, often symbolizing spiritual warfare and completion.

8 (Chet) – New Beginnings, Life, and Resurrection
"Chet" symbolizes new beginnings and resurrection life.(80) represents mouth, to speak, two forms of.

5 (Hei) – A Double Portion of Grace and Revelation
With two instances of "Hei" in 5785, there may be a sense of a "double portion" of God’s grace and revelation in this year.

Prophetically I believe God is giving a double measure of grace as He breathes His breath and Holy Spirit into our spirits for revival and resurrection power!

Welcome to this new season! 5785!

“Do the riches of his extraordinary kindness make you take him for granted and despise him? Haven’t you experienced how kind and understanding he has been to you? Don’t mistake his tolerance for acceptance. Do you realize that all the wealth of his extravagant kindness is meant to melt your heart and lead you into repentance?”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭2‬:‭4‬ ‭TPT‬‬

“Astounded, Ruth bowed low with her face to the ground, and said to him, “I’m a foreigner. Why have you been so kind and taken notice of me?” Boaz answered, “I’ve heard all about what you’ve done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband. I know your story—how you left your father and mother and your native land and came to a people and a culture that must seem strange to you. May Yahweh reward you for your sacrifices, and because of what you’ve done, may you have a full and rich reward from Yahweh, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to find shelter!” Ruth replied, “May I continue to find favor in your sight, kind sir. You have spoken to my heart kind and reassuring words that comfort me, even though I am not as worthy as one of your servant girls.””
‭‭Ruth‬ ‭2‬:‭10‬-‭13‬ ‭TPT‬‬

May His kindness lead you to change your mind about who He is and who you are; and lead you to your harvest field!

Blessings,
Marissa

Rise up! Wake up! Let your light shine in the darkness.

Psalm 139 says that even the dark is light to God.

If you’re needing light in the darkness of believing for someone to come to Jesus, then join me in praying this out loud:

“I bless the spirit of those walking in darkness, ‘I bless you to arise, you sleeper! Rise up from your coffin and the Anointed One will shine his light on you.’”
