We began as the families whose loved ones were murdered in the Aurora, Colorado theater shooting on July 20th, 2012. We have expanded to include families and victims across the country of mass casualties and homicides. Our experience in the aftermath of these horrible events have opened our eyes to many rights violations of victims of crime, including the way money is collected and distributed in this country for victims of mass shootings and devastating disasters. In other words, money raised FOR victims should always go TO victims. Victims are continually re-victimized. We are here to make sure that victims are treated with fairness, dignity and respect.
