The theater aims to please the local community and visitors alike with a diverse selection of exciting events!

CIAO is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, incorporated in December 2011 to save, utilize and maintain the vintage Island Theatre as a performing arts center for Chincoteague, offering a unique downtown venue for films and events. Now beautifully renovated, the Island Theatre (formerly the Island Roxy), offers classic and family films as well as concerts, plays and all kinds of other entertainment.

SATURDAY MATINEE AT 2! *Please see the note below about special parking conditions!* "Hocus Pocus" (PG) 1993 ‧ Family/Comedy ‧ 1h 36m... After moving to Salem, Mass., teenager Max Dennison (Omri Katz) explores an abandoned house with his sister Dani (Thora Birch) and their new friend, Allison (Vinessa Shaw). After dismissing a story Allison tells as superstitious, Max accidentally frees a coven of evil witches (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy) who used to live in the house. Now, with the help of a magical cat, the kids must steal the witches' book of spells to stop them from becoming immortal... Starts at 2, doors open at 1:30. Admission $7, kids/seniors $5.
IMPORTANT: Downtown Main Street will be closed by the time the movie is over, so please park in the public parking lot behind the Village Mall or make other parking arrangements that are not on Main Street! Thank you!

In the first of Bud Abbott and Lou Costello's horror pics for Universal Pictures, the inimitable comic duo star as railway baggage handlers in northern Florida. When a pair of crates belonging to a house of horrors museum are mishandled by Wilbur (Lou Costello), the museum's director, Mr. MacDougal (Frank Ferguson), demands that they deliver them personally so that they can be inspected for insurance purposes, but Lou's friend Chick (Bud Abbott) has grave suspicions...
