Camp Heart O’ Hills, here they come!

Today we are sending six of our campers off to five weeks of music conservatory, and we are so excited for all that this summer holds for them. Two more will be joining them soon, making this an especially special season for our group.

We are proud of each of these young people and look forward to all the growth, learning, and memories they will experience along the way.
It is going to be a great summer ahead!

Camp season is here!!

Tomorrow we are sending eight kids to five weeks of Music and Arts Conservatory at Camp Heart O’ Hills, and we are excited for all that is ahead of them.

Today our corps members prepared uniforms and packed snack bags, making sure each camper leaves feeling supported and cared for.
We are grateful for a community that shows up so faithfully, helping make this opportunity possible and investing in the lives of these young people.

Please keep them in your prayers as they travel to camp and grow in their gifts over the next five weeks.

Happy National Donut Day! 🍩

National Donut Day began in 1938 to honor the Salvation Army “Donut Lassies” who served donuts, along with hope and encouragement, to soldiers on the front lines during World War I. Their legacy reminds us that even small acts of kindness can have a big impact and
continues to inspire how we serve today.

In that same spirit, our Advisory Board members visited different places around our community, sharing donuts as a simple way to say thank you to those who support and encourage the work of The Salvation Army in Chickasha. We are so grateful for the many people who help us serve others every day.

Two weeks from today, campers from our community will be tucked into their cabins after an exciting first day at camp. They’ll be making new friends, creating memories, and growing in their faith through a week they’ll never forget.

You may have noticed something missing outside of our office these past few weeks… 👀

Our Rapid Response Unit (RRU) has been away getting a fresh new wrap, and it was definitely worth the wait!

We absolutely love the new look, and even more what it represents. This vehicle is more than transportation, it is a symbol of hope on the way when the need arises.

A big thank you to our DHQ team for helping make this happen. We are so grateful for your support in getting our RRU back on the road and ready to serve our community!

Camp season is coming fast, and we are so excited for the opportunity to send kids to camp this summer!

So far, our community has already helped raise $5,275 toward camp sponsorships, and we are incredibly thankful for every person who has given, shared, prayed, and supported.

We are now just $3,725 away from reaching our $9,000 goal and helping even more kids experience a week of fun, friendship, encouragement, and Jesus.

Today we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

While many gather with family and friends today, we also recognize that for so many, Memorial Day carries a much deeper weight. Today is a reminder of people dearly loved and deeply missed.

We are praying for the families carrying that loss today. May you feel surrounded by comfort, peace, and the gratitude of a nation that will never forget the sacrifice made by your heroes.

We wrapped up one final day of VBS Day Camp and our last youth program with Lts. Bobby and Crystal before they leave. We were missing a few friends who already headed off for summer vacation, but we still had such a good time together. So thankful for the memories made, the laughs shared, and the time we’ve had together this season.
