Thank you to Cato Crow for being our guest speaker today!
Cato is the current Junior Vice President of the Grady
County Shooting Sports Club. He is active in his club both as a
club member and competitor, taking on a leadership role to
support the organization's member engagement in the club and
community.
He is an avid participant in shooting sports, competing in
disciplines ranging from trap and s***t to air rifle, archery, and
western heritage. In 2025, he was the Runner Up in his age
division at the State 4-H Hunting Skills competition. He also
earned the "Top Hand" title in his division at the 2025 State
Western Heritage Competition, which involves cowboy action
shooting, a historical test, and a persona interview. Following
these successes, he is eligible to attend the 4-H Nationals
Western Heritage State Shoot in July. The National Western
Heritage competition is in the Branson, Missouri area and Cato
is currently raising money to fund this trip.
Cato is especially passionate about conservation as an avid
hunter and trapper. He works to help others understand the vital
role hunting plays in maintaining natural balance. To share this
message, he frequently speaks at history days and after-school
programs, educating the public on conservation practices.
Dedicated to giving back, Cato and his club volunteer monthly
at the Chickasha Soup Kitchen and participate in various
community and state events. In his free time, he remains active
with the Southern Oaks Church of Christ, The Oklahoma
Selfbow Society, and the Oklahoma Furbearers Alliance.
