Today the “concept” of Duttys Dingers turned one year old. 🎂🥳🎉🎈
One year ago, this idea came to me… and the ball started rolling. October 25th at 4:30 in the morning, I submitted the forms to get rights to the name and move forward with the biggest passion project of my life. ❤️🥰✨
Since then I’ve been on the radio twice KOOL 105.5 Chickasha, to speaking invites at University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma a handful of times, on Living Oklahoma, invited to the Oklahoma City Thunder corporate office, spoke at the state capitol, held benefits, partnered for a home run derby, held mock interview day for kids with autism, were able to connect with the Chickasha Chamber of Commerce to implement sensory friendly times at events, served over 30 families who have a child with a disability to be seen in the ball field. Partnered with so many awesome local businesses Outlaw Nutrition Tans Unlimited & Co. Rock Island Candy Co PAPA J's DAWGZ Hendy Sports Academy , and we were able to round up enough interest for Autism awareness day in Chickasha to even get a proclamation signed by Zachary Grayson in honor of autism ACCEPTANCE! We read my favorite autism awareness book “all my stripes” at local elementary school, have had parties, splash pad days, baseball, basketball and even soccer, we have worked hard to raise enough money through the year that no one ever had to pay for their kids to be on the team! ⚽️🖤⚾️❤️
Some of our kids have waited YEARS to have a spot on a team, and they are THRIVING! Our kids have a space that is just for them. We have volunteers from everywhere coming week after week to be part of this because… they’re getting as much out of it as the kids! We have parents and teachers and teenagers showing up again and again because it is so fun! We have teenagers who spend their weekends at our events because they love it too. ☺️🧩
I am beyond grateful for every experience I’ve been able to have over this past year and I cannot believe my third baby is a whole year old. 🖤✨
Thank you Chickasha… for showing up time and time again. For our friends, our family, everyone who mentions our name when we’re not in the room, people who post our fliers, who share our posts 🙌🏼😊
Thank you….to everyone who sees our kids…. Because that’s what this is all about. 🫶🏼
