☔️☔️☔️With more than 10 inches of rain recorded so far, Chicago is closing in on its typical spring total well ahead of schedule. The frequent showers have kept temperatures mild and vegetation ahead of pace, but they’ve also contributed to higher river levels and occasional flooding in low‑lying areas. If this pace continues, we could end the season among the wetter springs of the past decade.

As we move into late spring, forecasters expect the pattern to stay active, so keep the rain gear by the door.☔️☔️☔️

Coming Soon: Grace Street Greenway

In late April, the Grace Street Greenway will be installed to connect the 312RiverRun Trail to the Lakefront Trail. Once completed, this will be a nearly 3 mile family friendly route to improve access to parks, trails, and destinations like Wrigley Field.

Advisory bike lanes and speed bumps will mark the nearly 3-mile corridor from Campbell Avenue to North DuSable Lake Shore Drive.

Please note trains will bypass the Western Brown Line Station this weekend. The closure begins at 10 PM today, April 17th, so CTA can conduct structural steel repairs to the station. Free shuttles will be provided from the Damen Brown Line Stop. Service is expected to resume as usual at 2:30 AM on Monday.
