🎀October gives us an opportunity to pause, raise awareness, and encourage the people we love to prioritize their health. Regular screenings and early detection can make an important difference, and having conversations about breast health shouldn’t be limited to one month.

St. Bernard Hospital is offering FREE breast cancer screenings this month. Share this post and encourage someone you care about to schedule a screening.

Some spaces are more than physical locations. They represent belonging, connection, and the opportunity to strengthen relationships. Teamwork Englewood has worked alongside Englewood STEM High School since the school opened, and now supporting efforts through the Sustainable Community Schools initiative to strengthen connections among students, families, the school, and the broader community.

The opening of a dedicated parent space is one of many investments we’ve made to support that work and create more opportunities for parents and families to be engaged partners in their children’s education. As Sara Roebuck, Englewood STEM SCS Resource Coordinator, shared, “This space is not just a space; it is a tool for equity." We’re proud to celebrate this space and the parents, school staff, and community partners who helped bring it to life. 💙

Save the Date! Something is brewing in Englewood. This October, the Englewood Quality of Life Initiative is bringing our community together for A Night in Englewood: October Quarterly Meeting! Join us Thursday, October 29 from 5–7 PM as we reflect on 10 years of EQLI, celebrate the stories and people who have shaped our work, and look ahead to what’s next.

We’ll be launching the Englewood Mixtape and Gallery Walk, kicking off the EQLI Documentary, and launching community listening sessions to help develop the 3rd Quality of Life Plan. And we want your voice in the story. We’re working toward 1,000 EQLI surveys by December 31, and we’re nearly halfway there!

Recently, the Englewood Women’s Initiative (EWI) gathered with partners and community supporters at the Touch Gift Foundation to celebrate the collaborations that make greater opportunities possible for women and families in Englewood.
We are deeply thankful for the partners who create workforce opportunities, connect women to valuable resources, and strengthen our community.

EWI connects women ages 18–45 to career pathways, essential resources, and opportunities that support long-term economic security.
