Collaboraction Theatre will be hosting The People’s Pot & Pantry at The House of Belonging on JUNE 15, 22, and 29.

In an effort to build community ties, strengthen mutual visibility, and battle food insecurity in the performing arts, community members are invited to dine on their dark day.
Doors open at 4:00pm with a free hearty meal including locally grown produce.

All who attend are encouraged to browse the pantry for free items and bring their own containers to take home prepared food for the week.

The People’s Pot & Pantry is facilitated by Global Hive Laboratories with Cedillo’s Fresh Produce. Cedillo’s Fresh Produce is a family-run farm located in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood.

SUNSET 60 MINUTES
Tonight, we open our lab to our friends and neighbors from Piacenza and Grazzano Visconti!

It has been a wonderful few days. To devise a multilingual new play in 4 days is a thrill like none other! The ensemble in Piacenza has laid some amazing foundations for a full-length production we will put up next year.

We are looking forward to continuing our development in Chicago at next week!!!

The moon is calling you to join Denise Yvette Serna for the world premiere of NIGHT DIARIES, an active translation of GIORNALE NOTTURNO, presented in English.

FOUR NIGHTS ONLY! Pay what you can! NOTAFLOF!

Giornale Notturno (1978–2012) is an active translation of Belgian dramatist Jan Fabre’s original Night Diaries and texts. Edoardo Callegari curated a selection of these writings, which were then translated by acclaimed Italian artist Carolina Migli Bateson.

The Italian premiere of Giornale Notturno was a one-woman show that received critical acclaim in Italy in 2024. It also featured a unique visual art element created by Svetlana Golubeva (Inthegardendesign) that will be featured in this presentation.

Public presentations of the Active Translation will take place in Chicago at Stage Center Theatre (Northeastern Illinois University), Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts (The University of Chicago), and in New York City at The Flea (The Pete) USA

An immersive late night event will take place at Cedillo’s Fresh Produce (urban farm, Englewood Chicago) incorporating site specific performances of Night Diaries and material developed during Summer Nights (USA)
