As you may have heard, this year marks the 100th anniversary of Route 66! In North Lawndale, that is Ogden Avenue. We are excited to share a bunch of events taking place over the next several months - some explicitly themed around the Route 66 centennial, others happening in spaces along Ogden, such as the Farm on Ogden and Douglass Park!

We kick things off TODAY - June 6 (aka 6/6) with the Douglass Juneteenth Celebration which will feature speakers, performers, free food, a health and resource fair, art making, coloring books, face painting, and free Route 66 trolley rides guided by the North Lawndale Historical and Cultural Society!

Much more to come all summer and fall - stay tuned!
