Side by Side with the Chicago Philharmonic

Celebrate the 12th year of Side by Side with the Chicago Philharmonic, a free, family‑friendly summer tradition presented with the Chicago Park District’s Night Out in the Parks. Led by Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Scott Speck, this signature program invites musicians of all ages and levels to rehearse and perform alongside Chicago Philharmonic professionals in Chicago’s beautiful parks. Musicians are encouraged to participate, and listeners are invited to bring a blanket and enjoy beautiful parks and great music. Participation is free, and registration is required at

Trash pickup tomorrow morning! Meet at 10am at Uptown Library at 929 w Buena Ave.

You may sign up if you want or just show up. Then there's a social gathering at Clarendon Field House afterwards.

It's a great way to meet neighbors and get outside.

Register to attend one of our eight trash pickup groups for this upcoming May 30th 2026 event. Groups meet at 10:00am for cleanups. Grabbers, gloves, and bags are provided. After cleanup we will go to a local meetup spot for a fun social!
