Team Guest House would like to recognize and wish a Happy Birthday to the award-winning
anchor and reporter for WBBM Newsradio 780’s Lisa Fielding. She brings three decades of experience in news and sports, as well as in radio and television broadcasting, to WBBM.

Lisa anchors the afternoon drive and is a general assignment reporter, specializing in sports, arts & culture, and health and human-interest stories. She is also the host of the Audacy podcast "Backstage Chicago" that focuses on arts and culture.

Over the years, Lisa's work has been recognized by the Associated Press, the Chicago Headline Club, the Illinois Broadcasters Association, and the Radio-Television News Directors Association.

Lisa is a native of the Chicago area and grew up in Lake Zurich. She's an avid Cubs fan, a chronic traveler, and a photographer. She even published a coffee-table book of her travel photos.
Lisa believes strongly in giving back and getting involved in her community. Lisa has served as our emcee-mistress of ceremonies for the Guest House Foundation, The House Always WINS, for the past four years, and we are so honored by her kindness.

The month of May has been a very good one in the Jane Reich community room, thanks to the generosity of so many wonderful groups of people who have come to provide for our guests. 🌸🌹🌺💐🌷

Team Guest House would like to thank the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for hosting us at a great Hamburger Dinner catered by Barraco’s 🙌🏻👍🏼🥳🎉

Guests enjoyed Beef or Veggie Burgers, Baked Beans, Coleslaw, Spaghetti, Dinner Rolls, and Pound Cake for dessert. 🍔🍝🥬🍅🍰🍽😁

Following dinner, guests enjoyed several rounds of rousing bingo hosted by Ben & Maura, who are great Bingo hosts. 🏆🏆🏆

Memorial Day is an excellent opportunity to spend time with friends and family. Still, it also carries a deeper significance as a day of remembrance to honor fallen U.S. military personnel.

As we patiently await the arrival of Summer 26 at Guest House, we are also looking forward to a lovely fall Sunday morning, as we return for our fifth year as a charity team of runners in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Guest House is excited to announce that our 2026 team is full! 🏃🏾👟🏃‍♀️‍➡️👟🎽🏃‍➡️🏃🏻‍♂️‍➡️👟🏃🏾

We have 23 amazing runners raising money for healthcare equity with every step they take toward race day, including some familiar faces. 🙌👍🏽💪🏻🙌🏽

We are grateful to our top fundraising runners, but we have two more runners who have raised over $500 each, which is amazing. Katie and Spencer both broke $500 in fundraising for Guest House, with several more runners trailing close behind. 💵

Autism Solution dessert makers.

Urban Autism Solutions, which generously volunteers its time at the Guest House. These partnerships emphasize the importance of involving young people in community service.

The dessert makers did a marvelous job baking yummy Oreo Brownies, and while the brownies baked, some students helped fill breakfast bags for our guests. 😋🙌🏻👍💪🏾💕

Please join the Guest House Foundation for the live airing of our monthly CAN TV21 show this evening at 5 PM (CT) on CAN TV Channel 21.

President & CEO, Adam Helman, and Community Outreach Manager Art Sims, will co-host this evening's show as they welcome special guest Vanessa Walters, Interim Director of Cook County Veterans Affairs, who will discuss the role of Cook County Veterans Affairs and how they can help veterans in the county, and remind viewers of Guest House's commitment to veterans.

CAN TV offers a series of live shows with a vast viewing audience. It is available on various channels, including cable channels 19, 21, 27, 36, and 42, Roku, Fire TV, and the new CAN TV+ app available on iOS and Android devices.
