Please join Team Guest House this coming Monday, June 22nd, for a fundraiser as we play lotería (Mexican bingo) at Simone’s Bar, located at 960 W 18th St in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood. 🎊🎉🥳🪅🪩

Come early to enjoy excellent food and drink specials, then stay for the lotería game. It promises to be a perfect Monday evening with great music and plenty of prizes.

Proceeds from this event will help provide comfortable and affordable accommodations for medical patients of all ages and their families during treatment in the Chicagoland area. 👏👍🏼🙌🏽🪅🎊🥳❤️

In honor of June being Men’s Health Awareness Month, we also want to recognize Guest House’s “Good Deeds” Volunteers. 💪🏻💪💪🏽

Today, we want to spotlight volunteer Michael Phillips, a famed film critic formerly of the Chicago Tribune, who recently hosted a fantastic Chicago-style Italian Beef Dinner, catered by Tony’s Italian Beef, for our guests.

Each guest enjoyed an Italian Beef Sandwich complete with sautéed peppers & onions, chips, and potato salad, and, for dessert, refreshing Italian Ice Cups. The meal was truly a fan favorite in the Jane Reich Community room. 😋🍽️🍧

Team Guest House cannot say thank you enough to Michael Phillips for sponsoring this “annual” meal, and we thank all the volunteers who took the time to assist with the meal and to fellowship with our guests.🙌👏🏻👍🏽🥳🎉

Today, we want to spotlight Sherri Hayes of Rockford, Illinois. Sherri, who started as one of our medical guests, turned into a faithful volunteer and supporter of the Guest House. 🌟🌟🌟

Sherri’s generosity and spirit of giving are unmatched. Sherri has made so many wonderful gestures, including preparing dinner for our guests on multiple occasions with her niece, Marianna. Each meal has been a true culinary delight. 😋😋😋
