Today was the fist in-person 6th District CAPS Business Subcommittee Collaboration meeting since COVID. A great mixture of businesses—owners and managers across the business districts in attendance to get information around business services, with a strong focus around business safety, the use of loitering affidavits, and an opportunity to express their concerns and observations, the collaboration between Chicago Police Department sharing stats on the reduction of crime across the district was extremely refreshing. The updates on the collaboration between SSA private security and CPD was priceless.
The meeting is every 2nd Tuesday of the month. Help us pass the word to small businesses in the district across all corridors, in the greater Auburn Gresham communities, so we can share hyperlocal Chicago Business Affairs and Consumer Protection business information and updates and it’s a time to share your small needs around safety and many other topics!
