BRAVE shared the floor with several powerful partners in the coalition to share how important the RIFL Act is for Illinoisans. As taxpayers bear the cost for their loved ones, gun manufacturers profit from the influx of guns in our communities. The RIFL Act can bring accountability to these companies! Let’s get it done Illinois!

Last week, BRAVE welcomed professionals for a Career Day in which they got to learn more about their careers and get advice for establishing themselves as future young professionals. We are incredibly thankful for all panelists, especially those who are BRAVE alum that came back to pour into current BRAVE members! We hope to do this again soon!

BRAVE’s Tre Bosley and Father Michael Pfleger of The Faith Community of Saint Sabina had the awesome opportunity to speak at the 10th annual Vigil Against Violence yesterday afternoon Lincoln Park Presbyterian Church. We are so proud of Tre as his speech moved the crowd to actively “write their story” and not let others do it for themselves.

And that’s a WRAP! For the end of our Summer Peacemaker program, BRAVE Youth presented to stakeholders and community leaders about the research and findings from their Community Organization Tour about youth programming, neighborhood development, and mental health. We are INCREDIBLY PROUD of the work they have done and we hope that their call for investment doesn’t fall on deaf ears!
