Get ready for an unforgettable evening at the Diwali Gala with powerful spoken word!

We're so excited to have an inspiring spoken word performance by Sufyan Sohel, a poet, civil rights lawyer, and founder of Globalize Good, where he helps mission-driven leaders and organizations navigate change and conflict without losing sight of their values. A son of Indian immigrants, Sufyan brings that same commitment to dignity and connection into poetry that explores faith, justice, courage, and love.

This year, we are excited to honor Pooja Mehta as our Mental Health Champion awardee! 🏆

Pooja is the founder of Tarang and the AAPI Community Outreach Lead for the North Carolina State Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Use Services. As a su***de loss survivor with direct lived experience, she has spent the last 10 years changing how we talk about mental health, from psychiatric hospitals to Capitol Hill. Her work has been featured on NPR, ABC, WebMD, and TEDx, and she’s the founder of the Raj Mehta Day of Good, an annual day of service held on her late brother’s birthday.

Pooja turned her own loss into a decade of work that gets people talking, and honoring her storytelling is exactly why we do this.

Join us as we celebrate her at “Finding Light Through The Darkness: Diwali Gala 2026” — and don’t wait, presale ends TOMORROW! Tickets are available in our bio.

Silence isn’t neutrality—it’s protection for harm. What happened with the Cornell 7 is a stark reminder that staying quiet makes us complicit in the culture that enables violence against women.

At Brown Man Therapy, our mission isn’t just internal healing; it’s unlearning the toxic patterns that harm those around us. Healing requires accountability. We are calling on South Asian and Brown men to break the silence, call out harm, and actively speak out against sexual violence.

Real strength is keeping each other accountable. Speak up.

For a lot of South Asian Americans, joining a Bollywood dance team in college wasn't just an activity. It was community, culture, and some of the hardest work you'd ever put in, all in one place.

Netflix just dropped Best of the Best, a film based on the real collegiate Bollywood competition scene. Our co-founder Palak Sheth was actually one of the founders of the original Best of the Best competition back in the 2000s, so this one hits close to home.

👉 Swipe through, and watch Best of the Best on Netflix now.

Service without terms.

That's the phrase that stayed with me after sitting with Qasim Rashid.

He was raised in a family that gave to their community not based on what people had done to deserve it, but because that was the belief system. Full stop. In Pakistan. In the US. In the face of abuse, adversity, whatever form it took, the answer was the same.

Most of us give conditionally. We give when the person is grateful. When it's convenient. When we know it'll be reciprocated. What Qasim describes is different. It's a value system that doesn't renegotiate itself based on whether the world is being fair back to you.

And you can see it in his public work. He removes his ego from the response. That's not something you learn on the internet. That's something you inherit.

Full episode of Guys N' Chai with out now. Link in bio.
