CRPC MEMBERS ONLY: The annual Summer High Power League starts up again this Tuesday night at the outdoor range! There is a $25.00 one-time fee. It runs every week through August 18th. Firing commences at 6:00 PM, so you'll want to get there a bit early. Current NRA High Power Rules will apply.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC: The CRPC is hosting the NRA class "Personal Protection in the Home" on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday June 21.

Prerequisites are that you must have taken the NRA Basic Pistol class, and you'll need to bring a defensive caliber pistol with 200 rounds of ammo. More details are in the attached image.

CRPC MEMBERS: Message from the President -- At the last Board meeting we decided to CLOSE THE SILHOUETTE RANGE until further notice.

Currently, the backstop has been determined to be inadequate and deemed a safety hazard. We will rebuild the backstop this summer as well as perform other construction activities on that range. It should reopen for our fall shooting events.

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC: The CRPC is hosting another NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting class on May 16-17, 2026! This class is being held at the CRPC indoor range in Cheyenne. It qualifies as the training requirement for getting your Wyoming conceal carry permit, and is a prerequisite for numerous other great NRA classes.

CRPC MEMBERS: From the club president -- We continue to have members violate some of our range rules, particularly, at the outdoor range.

One reoccurring violation is rifles being shot at Berm 2 and overly powered handguns/rifles being shot at steel targets that cannot handle the velocity throughout the entire range.

NO RIFLES CAN BE SHOT ON BERM 2. This is a PISTOL RANGE only. I know we like to shoot at the steel with our ARs - I get it. Shotguns are forbidden also. We have plans in the very near future to put some AR steel in Berm 1. Replacing steel is very expensive. So, lets follow the rules so that we don't have to raise member dues to cover costs.

CRPC MEMBERS: Sometimes the trash cans at the outdoor range get full. If they get overfilled, the wind can blow trash all over the range. Please always bring a trash bag with you whenever you visit the outdoor range so you can be sure to pack out at least your own trash, in case the cans are full. It's up to all of us to keep our range clean. Thank you!
