LAST CHANCE, TODAY!

Drop-off: Today, Wednesday, October 28, 4 PM to 7 PM
Where: Door 4 (there will be signage)

Today is the last day to donate items in 2026. After that, the door closes to donations, and we get to work sorting, sizing, and getting everything ready for The Big One.

Still want to shop? Monday, November 2, from 11 AM to 1 PM is the last time the Marketplace will be open until Wednesday, December 2. We won’t be taking donations that day, but you can still browse and shop.

Why the cutoff? The Really Free Market: The Big One is happening Saturday, November 14, from 9 AM to 12 PM, and we need this time to sort, size, and prepare. As of right now, we’re tucking it into every nook and cranny we can find, and our volunteers are starting to eye the walls like they’re negotiable.

Donors, mark your calendars: our LAST DAY for donations is WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 28, from 4pm to 7pm.

We’re taking a pause, and donations REOPEN MONDAY, JANUARY 11. That gives you plenty of time to gather your clean-out piles. Yes, even the closet you’ve been avoiding.

Why the pause? Every December:

• Our volunteers rest after The Big One and get to spend the holidays with their families. They’ve earned it.

• We get ready for January, because sorting doesn’t sort itself.

• Santa Delivers AYR uses our donation drop-off area to make sure Christmas happens for families. Santa needs the space, and we’re happy to give it.

We know it’s a long break, and we appreciate your patience. We love seeing you and we’re grateful for every donation. We just need time to catch up and share the space with other groups.

Shopping stays open on Wednesdays before Christmas: December 2, 9, and 16.

Thanks for helping us keep the pause a real pause by saving your donations for January 11. You’re the best!

LAST CALL: Costumes. Free. Tonight. 5-7 PM.

The costumes have been here since September, but better late than never. Honestly, we love a last-minute costume crew.

After 7, everything goes to Stepping Stone Shelter so the women and children there can have a great Halloween.

Winter gear is moving in next week.

Here's the News: We added browsing hours on Mondays. Yes, really. Yes, still free.

Free clothing, shoes, and housewares in Chesterton, Indiana, now Mondays 11am to 1pm and Wednesdays 5pm to 7pm. Starts Monday, October 5.

No Costs. No Catches. No Kidding.

Got stuff to donate? Drop it off an hour before we open, both days. Your closet declutter is our gain.

Christine rounded up almost every hanger in the building. The hangers put up a fight. Christine won.

Why? Because the juniors section is finally ready. Sequins. Tie-dye. Stripes. Enough jeans to outfit a small school. Teens, we heard you.
