Some of the most important investments can't be measured in dollars. 💚

Five years ago, Mahki was a 10-year-old boy who found his way into Greenhouse Project's Homework Club.

What kept him coming back? The people.

People like Pastor Donny, who made time for him, encouraged him, and kept showing up.

Today, they're still making memories together—whether it's a day at the beach, a camping adventure in the mountains, or another afternoon at Greenhouse Project.

These moments might look ordinary. But years of shared experiences build something extraordinary: trust, belonging, and room for life-changing conversations.

Recently, our ONE WAY teens ventured beyond Chester into Virginia's Shenandoah Mountains, where new experiences offered fresh perspectives on their world, their future, and the God who created it all.

And for a teen like Mahki, five years of faithful relationships are producing something pretty incredible.

More of his story is coming soon. 🌱

Meet Mahki. 👋🏽🌱

Five years ago, he was a 10-year-old playing basketball with friends in Chester when Pastor John invited him to Homework Club.

He showed up. Then he kept showing up.

And somewhere along the way, this little kid became a young man with a BIG heart for Jesus.

Today, at 15, he's sharing Scripture on Instagram, encouraging friends in their faith, and becoming a leader at Greenhouse.

And we're just getting started telling his story.

Over the next few days, we're taking you along on Mahki's journey from Homework Club kid to the next generation of Greenhouse leadership.

What does a backyard in New Jersey have to do with Greenhouse Project's future home in Chester? 🌱

More than you might imagine.

Long before Greenhouse Project became a ministry, Pastor John Clifford and Lisa Merideth dreamed together about a place where people could find hope, healing, community, and a place to belong.

But Lisa didn't just dream about it. She lived it.

Her family's backyard was filled with bonfires, teenagers, laughter, food, and conversations that changed lives. Their home was a place where open doors and open hearts weren't just nice ideas. They were a way of life.

As Greenhouse prepares for a permanent home in 2027, Pastor John shares a deeply personal reflection on Lisa's life, her lasting influence, and the beautiful reminder that there's always room for one more.

❤️ We invite you to read this special story and consider the kind of legacy we can each leave through everyday acts of love.
