Yesterday evening, CEO Rasha Shankle and Vice CEO Dr. LaToya Sivells proudly represented Chesapeake Pearls, Incorporated at the Hampton Roads Community Foundation’s 9th Annual Black Philanthropy Month Celebration: “Afrofuturism: Black to the Future.”

It was an inspiring evening of connection, innovation, and meaningful conversations celebrating the power of Black philanthropy and investing in our communities.

We’re grateful for opportunities to connect, collaborate, and continue strengthening our impact throughout Hampton Roads.

This past Sunday, Chesapeake P.E.A.R.L.S., Inc. proudly welcomed 135 girls to our free Toy Story STEM Movie Experience!

The girls enjoyed hands-on STEM activities, the movie, free popcorn, a drink, candy, and even took home a Toy Story toy to remember the day.

A heartfelt thank you to every girl, parent, volunteer, and community partner who made this event possible. Special thanks to Old Dominion University Monarch Teach, Embouldin To Dream, and Ricky Lawrence for helping us create a fun, engaging, and memorable experience.

Together, we're inspiring the next generation of leaders, innovators, and dreamers!
