After 479 days of being loved by our team, cheered on by this community, and waiting for the moment we finally get to say…

BABE & BUSTER ARE GOING HOME. 🥹❤️

Babe and Buster arrived at Reba’s in June 2025, after being abandoned during the California wildfires. Since that day, they have been so much more than two dogs in our care. They have been part of our story. Part of yours.

You’ve asked about them. Shared their posts. Rooted for them. Hoped with us that someone, somewhere, would see exactly what we’ve always seen in these two.

And someone did.

Next week, Babe and Buster will leave Reba’s together and begin the life they have waited so long for. 🏡

Their rescuer, Mary, traveled all the way from California to see them one last time. She got to sit with the two dogs she once saved, love on them, and quietly say goodbye before they step into the next chapter of their lives.

A visit from an old friend. A final goodbye. And the beginning of everything they deserve. ❤️

But Babe and Buster are not leaving quietly.

We’ve created a special wish list just for them, so everyone who has loved these two from afar can help send them off with a few of the things they’ll need for their new life. Every item is a little piece of love for the road ahead. 🐾

☁️ Cloud is awake from sedation and doing great! 🤍

We are so grateful to Dr. Mercurio and the wonderful team at Virginia Veterinary Centers for taking such good care of our sweet girl. Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and dedication to Cloud’s care.

Her diagnosis has been confirmed: Cloud will need surgery for PRAA, or persistent right aortic arch. This is a condition she was born with in which an abnormal arrangement of blood vessels creates a tight ring around her esophagus-the tube that carries food to her stomach. That tightness makes it difficult for food to pass normally. Surgery will release the constricting band to relieve pressure on her esophagus.

Cloud has an important journey ahead, and we would be so grateful for your support. Donations will help cover her surgery and the care she needs during recovery. Every gift, no matter the size, helps us give her the care she deserves.

Today is a big day for our sweet puppy, Cloud. She is getting her CT scan, and it’s happening because of YOU. 🐾🤍

To every person who donated: thank you for giving Cloud this chance. Your generosity has made it possible for her to take this important next step, and we cannot put into words how much that means to us.

We’re heading into today with grateful hearts, hopeful thoughts, and so much love for the people who helped make this possible. Please keep Cloud in your thoughts as she has her scan. Whatever today brings, we want every donor to know: you helped us get here, and we will never take that kindness for granted.

1,000 lives saved🎉 and we’re just getting started.

When Reba’s Animal Rescue began, we hoped to make a difference. Today, less than three years later, we’re celebrating 1,000 animals saved. Our third anniversary is November 23rd, but this milestone calls for an early celebration!

These aren’t just numbers. They’re the dogs and cats we’ve welcomed, worried over, fallen in love with, and worked so hard to give a better life.

And the two special girls who brought us to this moment? Lois & Diamond. 🐶🐶

Their journey took a team: private pilot Luke flew them to us, and our wonderful partners at the LMU Veterinary Program provided their veterinary care and fostered them. They’re a beautiful reminder that no one saves 1,000 animals alone. ✈️❤️

To our incredible Reba’s team-you are the heart of this rescue. To our Co-Founder, Charlie Daniels, and his family-thank you for helping build something that means so much to so many. And to every foster, volunteer, donor, adopter, and partner: there is a piece of you in this milestone.

Take a moment to let that sink in. Together, we’ve saved 1,000 lives.
