But the Holiday Stroll will go on!!

Bundle up and plan to visit sll the charming shops in town! Have a little lunch or a coffee treat and visit Santa at the Holiday Market! The building is heated, and plenty of parking!

Hang around for a delicious dinner, then join us for our beautiful Lantern Lighting Ceremony at 7:00pm.

You’ll feel the magic of the season, I promise!

Come back on Saturday, for more great shopping, and our Christmas Parade!

On Sunday, enjoy a world-class concert at 3:00 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church!

On Tuesday, Dec 9, at 6:30pm, bring your brainy friends for Holiday Trivia at Hunt & Co! Enjoy a tasty dinner and (cash bar!) and maybe walk away with a little holiday cash!!

Reimagine Chatham Consultant Releases Final Branding Study

On October 8, 2025, the consulting firm of Arnette Muldrow and Associates presented the final results of their study to develop and deploy a brand that will help define the identity of Chatham and the adjacent area. The objective was to capture as much of the local character as possible.

Over the past year, our community has come together to reimagine what’s possible for Chatham — from parks and trails to economic development and town identity.

Now, it’s time to see it all come to life.

🎉 Join us on Wednesday, October 8 at 6:30 PM at the Pittsylvania County History Research Center and Library (Train Depot) for a public presentation of the new community brand. The team from Arnett Muldrow will unveil the new logo, color palette, and messaging — all shaped by your ideas and input!

The Chatham Concert Series kicks off its 18th season on Friday, September 5th with a 7pm concert at Emmanuel Episcopal Church featuring Seattle-based pianist, Tim Fuller and violinist Kevin Matheson.

Their program is titled “From Paris to Romania” and features two sonatas for violin and piano by the Romanian virtuoso violinist-composer George Enescu, who wrote some of the most compelling and original music of the early twentieth century.

Please come and bring a friend to hear music from Bach to Broadway performed by the Bjerken-Yampolsky Family at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 31, 2025, in the sanctuary of Chatham Baptist Church. Admission is free to the public, and there will be a reception following the concert.

Pianist Xak Bjerken is Professor of Music at Cornell University, and pianist Miri Yampolsky is Artist-in-Residence and Senior Lecturer at Cornell University. Their children are Misha, double bassist, who graduated in May with a master's degree from New England Conservatory in Boston; Anna, soprano, a senior at Eastman School of Music in Rochester; and eighth-grader Maya, who sings and plays the clarinet.
