We are so excited about the Danville-Chatham tour on April 23 and the newly released guidebook cover. It is going to be a beautiful tour in 2026!

We are excited to release the 2026 Historic Garden Week Guidebook cover. The Garden Club of Virginia’s Historic Garden Week offers a unique chance in 2026, during the nation’s 250th anniversary, to visit many properties linked to early Virginians who helped shape American history.
The cover features the Governor's Palace at Colonial Williamsburg. Immerse yourself in history as you celebrate the 250th commemoration of the founding of the United States and the 100th anniversary of Colonial Williamsburg, the world's largest living history museum, while participating in the nation’s only statewide house and garden tour, April 18-25. The Williamsburg HGW tour will be held on Tuesday, April 21 and is one of 29 tours, in addition to bonus gardens at Little Oak Spring and Morven. https://gcvirginia.org/historic-garden-week/tour-schedule/

The properties are secured and the leadership for Historic Garden Week is busy implementing plans to make HGW 2026, April 18-25, a week you can not miss; full of beautiful gardens, homes and flowers. The 2025 HGW in Danville- Chatham tour is now over, but what a day with perfect weather, beautiful homes, an amazing bonsai garden, fantastic arrangements, and a fascinating presentation of 'Voices from the Past' in the Historic Grove Street Cemetery.
As we reflect back, here are pictures of the spectacular bonsai garden and lovely arrangements created by the Chatham Garden Club at the Forest Hills location. Tomorrow we feature the Miller-Sublett house.
