Today is World Humanitarian Day, a day that recognizes people who choose to serve others.

For us, that word carries special meaning.

Every flag placed in the Healing Field of Honor represents someone who answered a call to serve.

And every volunteer who helps build the Field, every sponsor who supports it, every family who shares a story, and every person who walks among the flags helps ensure that service is remembered.

**Service honors service.**

CCF was in academic mode this summer as we assessed the impact reports from our Spring 2025 grantees, distilling the data into a compelling summary.

The $80,000 in total grants from the Spring 2025 unrestricted funding supported 29 nonprofits providing an array of services across Charlotte County.

The report shares the collective impact made possible by community members who support Charlotte County’s nonprofit sector by giving to CCF’s Community Impact Fund and by establishing named, permanent endowments that are pooled collectively to support our competitive grantmaking. These “Charlotte Forever” https://www.charlottecf.org/charlotte-forever-funds/ funds start at $5k and the result of support by the community, for the community is already making a measurable difference across Charlotte County. We are grateful to the donors who made this funding possible through our Charlotte Forever Funds and the difference our new competitive unrestricted grants program is already making in the community.
