🎟️ Your ticket is more than admission to a great event.

It's transportation to a doctor's appointment.
It's a helping hand with groceries.
It's a friendly phone call.
It's peace of mind for an older neighbor.

Every ticket purchased helps Faith in Action continue serving older adults throughout the Greater Kanawha Valley.

🍰 Thank you for making a difference.

Join me at the Sweet Charity 2026

When I tell you we were excited when Coco's Kitchen & Cafe agreed to join us last year, that’s no understatement. It’s one of our favorite “we deserve a work lunch outing” places to go.

This downtown Charleston restaurant is known for providing an eclectic breakfast and lunch menu with plates that look gorgeous and taste delicious. Their space may be a little small, but the vibe is immense: playful, cheerful, fresh, and fun.

Chef KD Jones is a steward of West Virginia tradition blending decades old recipes with the highest quality local ingredients, fulfilling Coco's mission of serving the community healthy, local, and fresh food that is both trendy and inviting.

We’re delighted they decided to join us again for Sweet Charity 2026 and can’t wait to see what Chef KD has cooked up for us!

A day to celebrate our community's older neighbors?!

Sign us up!

We are lucky to serve our seniors, each of whom enrich our lives with their collective wisdom, their diverse array of experiences, and their powerful, often fascinating, life stories.

We learn from them every single day, and it's a joy to set aside a day to honor them. 🥰

GOOD ADVICE!!! 👀

If you're holding onto that giant jar of screw-top peanut butter that got hit by floodwater, our Environmental Health team advises you to throw it out. They have some tips here:

Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council Troop 4847 stole a lot of hearts at last year’s Sweet Charity event.

The competition happened to fall on the exact same date as the release of the Girl Scout’s newest cookie flavor: Exploremores. Seizing the opportunity, this troop created an incredibly display for their awesomely creative dessert featuring this newest addition to the traditional cookie line up.

The flowerpots were a stroke of brilliance. Not to mention delicious!

This troop engages in many activities in the community. They were recently recognized at the ‘All Fired Up’ teen backyard cooking competition at Capitol Market. They have prepared meals for guests of the Ronald McDonald House. And, this past year, they participated in Wreaths Across America at Arlington National Cemetery to honor those who have served our country.

We’re proud to welcome BDGS Troop 4847 back to Sweet Charity in 2026!

Healthy communities are built one neighbor at a time.

Thank you to Vandalia Health CAMC for adding the icing to Sweet Charity as one of our Icing on the Cake Sponsors! 🎂

Caitlin Bronaugh loves to play with food.

As one of the newest entrants in Sweet Charity 2026, Caitlin is the owner and mastermind behind Obscura Bakery. She has grown her business to monster heights through Markets and Pop Ups (you can often find her on weekends at Capitol Market - Charleston, WV) and has a following of devoted fans of her creations. These range from her signature Crash Out Obscura Brownie to the Cult Classic Cookie and all things sweet and savory in between.

“Baked rebelliously” is Obscura Bakery’s tag line because she LIVES to bake things that are not typical or expected. She explores combinations of flavors that would scare most bakers, but her fiercely loyal client base will be the first to tell you…she makes it work.

When you stop to check out their Sweet Charity entry, you may find a solid classic. Then again…you might find something strange and unusual and outrageously delicious.

We can't wait to find out!

To say it's a mess out there would be an understatement. This video just takes my breath away! It looks like the storms aren't quite finished with us, either, with more rain on the way.

Please use extreme care and caution if you are out an about today. The old adage exists for a reason...it's sound advice: turn around, don't drown!

Stay safe, everyone.
