❤️ A Gift of Gratitude in the Aftermath

When an earthquake brings chaos, destruction, and uncertainty, the smallest acts of kindness can carry the greatest meaning.

During Humanity First USA’s disaster response in Colombia, our Disaster Relief Team worked alongside local partners and community members to provide much-needed assistance to families affected by the crisis.

Freddy who transported the team daily for 10 days, and his wife, Ana, created a special gift to express their appreciation for the volunteers who had come to help. 🇨🇴❤️

It was more than a gift—it was a heartfelt reminder that humanity goes both ways.

Humanity First — Serving Those in Need
After 10 days in Colombia following the devastating earthquake, our Humanity First team is finally returning home.

For the past 10 days, our dedicated volunteers have been on the ground providing much-needed aid, relief, medical assistance, and food to families and communities affected by the disaster.

They worked tirelessly alongside local communities, offering support where it was needed most and reminding those facing unimaginable hardship that they are not alone.

We are incredibly proud of every volunteer who gave their time, energy, and compassion to serve others during this difficult time.

Humanity knows no borders. When people are in need, we stand together. ❤️

Humanity First in Action — Columbia Disaster Relief
In times of disaster, compassion can make all the difference.

Our Humanity First team came together to serve a senior living community in Columbia, where 102 seniors were in need of support.

Our volunteers brought much-needed food, essential supplies, and, most importantly, a helping hand and a message of hope.

The gratitude we received from the residents and staff was truly touching. Their smiles and heartfelt thanks reminded us why we serve — because humanity comes first.

A catastrophic glacial collapse and flash flood has devastated communities along the Nepal–China border, sending massive torrents of water, mud, rock and debris through villages and valleys.

The scale of the devastation is heartbreaking:

🚨 Thousands have been displaced or affected

Yesterday, August 26, a catastrophic flash flood struck Nepal’s Bhote Koshi River area near the Tibet border.

A massive collapse of ice, rock and debris in the Himalayas unleashed a sudden torrent through the river system, devastating communities in its path. Villages were inundated, homes and vehicles were swept away, and roads, bridges, hydropower facilities and other critical infrastructure were destroyed.

The devastation is staggering.

💔 359 bodies have been recovered.
💔 Hundreds of people remain missing.
💔 596 foreign nationals from 33 countries are still unaccounted for.
💔 Families have been displaced and communities devastated.
💔 Rescue teams are working through destroyed roads and difficult terrain to reach survivors.

And the danger is not necessarily over. Authorities continue to monitor river systems and downstream flood risks as rescue and relief operations continue.

🌍 Humanity First USA in Colombia: Assessing Needs, Reaching Communities

Following the earthquake in Colombia, the Humanity First USA team spent five days on the ground assessing affected communities, meeting with local authorities and organizations, and identifying urgent needs.

The team traveled through Cali, Pereira, Palmira, and Cartago, connected with soup kitchens serving hundreds of people, provided food assistance, and worked with health officials to identify opportunities for medical support.
