Submit your best photos of Lotus Lake to the Riley Purgatory Bluff Creek Watershed District to be featured in the RPBCWD’s 2026 wall calendar. The watershed is seeking the best photographs that feature our lakes, creeks, parks, wildlife, plants, recreation, or anything else outdoors that inspires you!

Photos must be taken within the boundaries of the Riley Purgatory Bluff Creek Watershed District. $50 prize will be awarded to the winning cover photograph, and $20 prizes to the 12 monthly featured photographs.

Submissions due September 30th. Learn more at rpbcwd.org/photo-contest.

ILLCA Float Up Concert TONIGHT, July 12th from 6-9pm at the south end of Lotus Lake.

Prepare to travel back to the glory days of the 1990s and 2000s music with an all-new band this year, Anti-skip Protection. This energetic group of musicians will transport you to a time when boy bands ruled the world, grunge was king, and pop punk was on the rise.

Bring the energy by anchoring CLOSER to the stage this year. Tie up with your neighbors or share a bumper with a stranger and get to know each other better!

🚤 The boat parade sets off at 10:30 a.m., leaving the public boat launch and traveling counterclockwise around the lake.

Last call for boat parade entries! Bring The Natural Wonders of Lotus Lake to life with your most creative, nature-inspired boat decor!

📅 Date: Friday, July 4th, 2025

🕥 Meet at the Public Launch: No later than 10:15 AM. Boats will travel counterclockwise around the lake.

🍦 Every participating boat receives a $25 Culver’s gift card!

🎉 Special surprises await both participants and spectators — don’t miss out!

Slow-No Wake Restrictions are still in place on Lotus Lake.

Please see the following link, provided by the city of Chanhassen, for the latest update on the Slow-No Wake Restrictions.

Due to significant rainfall over the past several days, water levels on Lotus Lake, Lake Minnewashta and Lake Susan have exceeded the elevation thresholds outlined in City Code. As a result, Slow-No Wake restrictions are now in effect on all three lakes.

Due to recent heavy rain, lake levels on Lotus Lake have risen above their Slow-No Wake thresholds. As a result, Slow-No Wake restrictions is now in effect to help protect shorelines and ensure safety.

These restrictions will remain in place until water levels stay below the thresholds for three consecutive days.
