"But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us." (2 Corinthians 4:7).

To lay our lives down for something greater than ourselves, for His honor, for His glory, makes this life He has given us worth more than we can comprehend!

Thunder in the desert! “Prepare for GOD’s arrival! Make the road straight and smooth, a highway fit for our God. Fill in the valleys, level off the hills, smooth out the ruts, clear out the rocks. Then GOD’s bright glory will shine and everyone will see it. Yes. Just as GOD has said.” — Isaiah 40:3–5 (The Message)

"The world doesn’t just need Christ in our hearts; it needs the Body of Christ to stand as a 'Corporate Elijah' in the earth. ⚔️

We have entered a cosmic battle. Just as Elijah’s name was a public assertion of God's right to reign, we are anointed to declare His authority against the forces attempting to rob Him of His glory in this fallen world.

I am releasing a new two-part series on Substack: 'The Corporate Elijah.' Part 1 is live now.

A Little Help from My Friends: You know the song, or at least you do if you are an old dude like me.

Life has a funny way of getting in the way sometimes. About five years ago, I told a lot of you that I was starting a place for our deeper Bible studies and teaching. While my schedule got heavy, the work of Risen Scepter Ministries didn't slow down—it grew!

I am so thankful to the Lord that our ministry in developing nations is expanding. But as the mission grows, so does the weight of the need. Don't worry, I'm not asking for money. I get enough of that from people I don't know in my messenger inbox.

Today, I’m finally launching our Substack publication, and I’m asking for "a little help from my friends."

I am trying to increase the visibility of this ministry so that we can extend more help to more pastors and children. By simply growing our subscriptions, we increase our ability to walk in our calling: equipping pastors to equip their people for the work of the ministry.

How you can help the mission today:

I’ve made it very simple to join us. You don't even have to "join" a new platform if you don't want to:

The Simple Way: Just click the link below, hit "Subscribe," and enter your email. You’ll receive my biblical teachings directly in your inbox. This simple act helps increase our visibility and reach. I promise I won't send you a bunch of stuff you don't want. Just a short Bible study every week or so. And we will probably mix in some stories from our pastors in Kenya, the Philippines, Uganda, or Myanmar.

The Community Way: If you’d like to join the vibrant Christian community thriving on the Substack app, you can interact with us there as well. I have found Substack to be really refreshing.

To say thank you for helping me help them, I have a gift for you. When you subscribe, you’ll find a link in your welcome email to download "The Art of Discovery." It’s a brilliant course book in PDF format, by my friend, Dr. Carlos Taylor, PhD, on how to study the Bible for yourself.

Will you help me touch more lives? Let's grow this together so we can see nations changed for God’s glory.

I can’t wait to see what the Lord does next. Thank you for being a friend to this ministry. And did I tell you it's FREE! Guess I did, but a little reminder doesn't hurt, does it?

And if you don't mind, it would be great if you could also share this post. Let's build this thing together. Who knows what kingdom impact it could have!

Blessings in Christ Jesus,
Gary

Pastora Grace and myself at our day job! It doesn't pay much but has a lot of benefits. But I don't think this is what Jesus had in mind when He told us we were going to rule and reign with Him in the new earth!

‘He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. (Revelation 3:21, LS )

“And You made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they will reign upon the earth.” (Revelation 5:10, LSB)

Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection. Over these the second death has no authority, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years. (Revelation 20:6, LSB)

And there will no longer be any night, and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine them, and they will reign forever and ever. (Revelation 22:5, LSB)

What do you do when no one understands? The Lord has given you a vision-a purpose-and a destiny. Yet, sometimes this is a lonely place to be. You try to share it with people but you can tell by their reactions, the way they look at you, they really don't understand the implications. Let's face it, many times we don't even understand them. A vision from the Lord is sometimes something that we carry alone. It is personal, it is significant, It is solitary. This short note is just to remind us, that the Lord sees and cares. He knows the loneliness that we experience when walking out His vision. Just remember He has given it to you because He trusts you. Simply walk it out day by day with Him. Don't try to force it. Allow Him to open the doors at the right time. He will not fail!
