Last week, SBEDF CEO Ginger Cangelosi joined the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute (NORLI) Class of 2027 at its orientation and alumni meet-and-greet at the Louisiana Children’s Museum. 🤝

As a member of the 2027 class, Ginger will spend the year connecting with leaders from across the Greater New Orleans region and gaining a broader perspective on the issues shaping our communities, from infrastructure and workforce development to economic growth and quality of life.

That experience will help Ginger bring new perspectives and relationships to her work at SBEDF, while giving her an opportunity to share St. Bernard’s story with leaders across the region. We’re excited to see what comes from this next chapter and the conversations it will bring.

The future of St. Bernard starts with a shared vision. 🤝

Ahead of her official start as SBEDF's new CEO on August 15, Ginger Cangelosi met with the newly formed St. Bernard Forward, a coalition of unified community, business and industry stakeholders who believe in St. Bernard's potential and are committed to building a united vision for the community. Graciously hosted by Nunez Community College, the meeting brought together leaders from across the community to support the industries that have long contributed to our local economy while creating opportunities for new industries, investment and growth. Together, the coalition is focused on unifying the community and strengthening St. Bernard's economic foundation.

St. Bernard is open for business, and we look forward to sharing more about the work underway to support the businesses and industries that call our community home. This collaboration will help position St. Bernard for continued investment, growth and new opportunities.

🚗 Welcome Klear2Drive Driving Academy to Chalmette!

Klear2Drive officially opened its doors yesterday with a ribbon cutting alongside the St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce, bringing a new driving school to Chalmette and St. Bernard Parish.

Founded by St. Bernard native and local mom Raven Green, Klear2Drive is a Louisiana OMV-licensed driving school serving Chalmette, St. Bernard Parish and surrounding areas. The academy provides personalized driver education for teens and adults in a patient, supportive environment.

For teens ages 14¾–17, Klear2Drive offers a 38-hour driver education course for $550, including both classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training. New drivers ages 18 and older can take the Adult Pre-Licensing Course for $450, which also includes classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction. Payment plans are also available.

For families, completing the teen course may also qualify you for 10–15% off auto insurance.
