🦞❤️ Crawfish Festival Appreciation Party – What a Day! ❤️🦞

Today was all about gratitude, great food, and celebrating the people who make it all happen! We enjoyed delicious crawfish, great company, and the opportunity to recognize the incredible individuals who give their time and heart to our festival and community.

We also acknowledged our Family, Knight and Sister of the Month:
• Family of the Month: Clyde & Sandra Wixom
• Knight of the Month: Terry Gutierrez, III
• Sister of the Month: Ann Inman

We were also proud to present the First Annual Aubrey J. Heumann Jr. Humanitarian Award to Harry Diemel—a truly well-deserved honor recognizing outstanding dedication and service.

To top it all off, the St. Bernard Fire Department stopped by, and the kids were absolutely thrilled! 🚒 Their smiles said it all.

Thank you to everyone who helps make the Louisiana Crawfish Festival such a success year after year. We couldn’t do it without you!

“If we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him.”
— Romans 6:8

Holy Saturday reminds us that God works in hidden ways.

The tomb is sealed. The world is quiet. The disciples believe the story is over.

But in the silence, redemption is unfolding.

Sometimes the holiest thing we can do is wait in hope.

Today is the Solemnity of Saint Joseph, husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary. May we meditate today on the hidden virtues of the Patriarch Joseph. In the stillness, consider his total surrender to the Divine—a surrender that mirrored his unwavering devotion to the sacred bond of marriage. As we contemplate the sacrificial fire of his love for the Holy Family, let us pray for a heart like his—one that seeks only the holiness and well-being of the spouse and children entrusted to our care.

Memorare to Saint Joseph

Remember, O most pure spouse of the Virgin Mary, that never it has been heard that anyone invoked your patronage and sought your aid without being comforted. Inspired by this confidence I come to you and fervently commend myself to you. Despise not my petition, O dearest foster father of our Redeemer, but accept it graciously. Amen.

St. Joseph, pray for us

Yesterday, the members of Archbishop Joseph F. Rummel Council 5747 and their Ladies Auxiliary hosted their annual St. Joseph Altar, continuing a beautiful tradition of faith, community, and service.

A special thank you to the countless volunteers who helped prepare the altar. Your hard work and dedication made it a beautiful and meaningful day for our Rummel Council 5747 family while keeping this cherished tradition alive.

In addition to our altar, we named our Family, Knight and Sister of the Month. Family of the Month was Dennis and Fran Bourgeois, leaders of our St. Jospeh Altar, Knight of the Month was Jeff Caruso and Sister of the Month was Fran Bourgeois.

If that was not enough celebration, we also presented a Council Level Scholarship to our CYLA finalist, Lillian Coulon, a Senior at Mount Carmel High School, who will advance to the state level.

Congratulations to all!
