Our newest intake arrived today! Meet JC: Chino Mirage, a 2022 gelding who retired from racing after 11 starts. He unfortunately sustained sesamoid and knee fractures at the racetrack, but we will help him heal up for his next chapter! He is a striking gray roan with a lot of height - we can’t wait to see him grow up and get healthy. Please help us welcome him! 🩶

After 88 career races, Phoenix (JC: Wheredoesthecashgo) has had a big transition retiring from the track. He was wound pretty tight when he arrived and it’s been so rewarding watching his tension unravel. Phoenix now lives out in a large paddock with a herd, with unlimited access to forage. He’s relearning how to be a horse.

Phoenix got some well deserved bodywork today. It was this warhorse’s first session, but he dropped right in and seemed to really enjoy it! Mary Ann Menetrey has been working with our OTTBs for close to a decade now - we are so grateful for her gentle approach and her ability to help horses shift patterns in their physical bodies, nervous systems and emotions. She is a true treasure to our team! ✨

Our second new intake today is JC: Wheredoesthecashgo, a 2015 gelding who just retired from racing after a whopping 66 starts! He has had years on the track and worked very hard - we are excited to give him his racing retirement and help him transition to a whole new life. He is a beautiful chestnut gelding with a quarter horse type build. Please help us welcome our two new geldings! 🎉
