The 100th Annual Virginia FFA State Convention kicked off today! Originally, the name was FFV. Henry C. Groseclose’s initial class formation, relevant to agriculture, did not take off as he had hoped. As founder of FFA, perseverance, vision, and collaboration with others brought us to modern day FFA. We celebrate Virginias 100th year in FFA and the National FFA organization 100th year in 2027!
The Henry C. Groseclose Museum is located in his hometown of Ceres, Va.

The Ceres Alumni Association would like to congratulate Grayson Chewning, recipient of the 2026 William “Bill” Creggar Scholarship.

This scholarship was established in honor of Bill Creggar, whose many years of dedication and service to the students and community of Ceres left a lasting impact that continues to be remembered today.

We are proud to recognize Grayson for his hard work, accomplishments, and bright future ahead. We wish him continued success in all he does!
