CRI and YOS need families to say yes—and December is closer than it feels!

CRI turns 14 while he's here this December. Imagine his first American birthday: candles, a cake around your kitchen table, and people excited to celebrate him. He's active, social, sweet with younger kids and animals, and he lights up when you encourage him.

YOS is 11, and he calls the family he hopes for someday his "family of the heart." Soccer is his happy place: he plays it, draws it, makes up stories about soccer players. He also loves music and playing instruments, and brings imagination and energy to everything he enjoys.

Both boys need a family willing to open their home for three weeks this December, to make room at the table, cheer them on, and help advocate for the forever family they deserve.

Our final Host Family Information Meeting for the winter 2026 season is coming up!

If you’ve been thinking about hosting but still have questions, this is a great opportunity to learn more.

We’ll introduce you to some of the children who are hoping for host families, walk through how the hosting program works, and talk about what to expect throughout the process.

And most importantly, you can ask your questions. All of them. The questions you’ve been thinking about, the questions you’re not sure who to ask, and the questions you haven’t even thought of yet.

We’ll also talk about how hosting can be a pathway to permanency, whether you are considering adoption yourself or want to advocate for your hosted child to find a permanent family.

This is our final information meeting for the season, and time is running short. Families interested in hosting this winter need to get started now, with all paperwork and training completed by October 1.

Families can enter the hosting experience with the intention to explore adoption themselves or advocate for their hosted child to find a permanent adoptive family.

There's a moment on this trip that doesn't show up in the itinerary. It happens when you're standing next to another adoptee who shares your story, someone who understands this journey in a way few others can, without you having to explain it.

Three more stockings. Three more seats at the table. Three siblings who get to stay together. ❤️

YAN (13), JOH (11), and JHO (9) are true siblings in every sense: close, affectionate, and fiercely loyal to one another. YAN, the oldest, watches over her brothers with real tenderness. JOH has become a role model JHO looks up to and follows everywhere. Together they've made one thing clear: they want to stay together!

YAN is a strong student who loves math, and she brings real talent to painting and dance. JOH gets along with everyone, peers and adults alike, and has a real gift for working through conflict and noticing how others feel. Soccer at the park is where he's happiest, and he dreams big about playing professionally one day! JHO is warm and easy to be around, making friends without even trying. Math comes naturally, poetry has won his heart, and soccer, biking, and skateboarding fill his happiest hours.

Can you picture the fun of having these three around for Christmas? Board games at the table, bikes outside, LEGOs everywhere, and three kids getting to be kids together.

This December, they need a family willing to make room for all three. Maybe your family is open to adoption. Or you could give these siblings three special weeks together and become their biggest advocates for a forever family.

URGENT NEED: A Family for CRI and YOR

CRI (13) and YOR (11) are best friends before they're anything else, bonded by their shared love of soccer and by CRI's wish to go through this process alongside his brother. CRI is level-headed and emotionally mature, a natural leader who's gentle with animals and younger kids. He does well in math, plays accordion and guitar, wants to try skating, and paints to unwind. He's quick with technology, curious about photography and filming, and dreams of travel and a future in the military, police, or soccer.

YOR is steady, easygoing, and well-liked, a good friend who lights up over science and English. He shares CRI's love of soccer and hopes to join a real academy, plays accordion and guitar, paints with tempera, and dives into new things like drones with curiosity and no fear of not knowing yet. Together, CRI and YOR are easy: no conflict, no competition, just two boys who'd rather be on the same team.

Thirty-five children. One supermarket trip. A whole lot of growth.

At LinFen orphanage, everyday errands like grocery shopping are rare, so CCAI's Fulfill-A-Wish program turned a trip to the supermarket into something much bigger. The children pushed their own carts, compared prices, asked staff for help finding items, and worked through the difference between what they needed and what they simply wanted. Kids with limited mobility were paired one-on-one with staff so they could still make their own choices every step of the way. When it came time to check out, they handled the whole process themselves, scanning items, checking totals, and paying, all with a little coaching from each other along the way.

It's a small trip on paper. For these 35 kids, it was a full walk through independence, and a reminder of how far generosity can carry a child forward.

When YOH talks about what it would mean to belong to a family, there's real light in it. He's 12, loves soccer and art, and is easy to be around.

Applications for the December 7-28 hosting window are open now, and they close soon. YOH still needs a family to say yes, whether that's hosting with adoption in mind, or hosting to help advocate for his adoption by another family.

YOH is respectful and thoughtful, especially with girls and younger kids, and he's a leader among his peers. He does well in school, with math and PE among his favorites, and he's confident trying new things without hesitation. Whether it's a soccer ball, a sketchbook, or a bike, he's the kind of kid who's all in.
