Cedar Rapids is officially one of the nation’s Best Cities for Work.

The Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance is proud to share that Cedar Rapids ranks #14 on Indeed’s inaugural Best Cities for Work list, which evaluated 228 U.S. metro areas across job opportunity, compensation, job quality and security, career mobility, work-life balance, flexibility and economic opportunity.

Cedar Rapids stood out in several key areas:
#1 for housing affordability
#3 for easy commuting
#7 for job opportunity
#25 among top metro areas for healthcare access

For workers, these rankings mean more financial flexibility, less time spent commuting and a stronger foundation for building a meaningful career and a great life. For employers, they reinforce what makes our region competitive: access to talent, a diverse economy and a supportive environment for growth.
