Before you vote, hear from the candidates that will represent you!

"Thank you for providing the opportunity to hear from Sand and Lahn through separate candidate forums. What a refreshing alternative to contentious debates!

While every candidate has their sound bites, these conversations felt authentic and helped answer several questions I had about both candidates."

Federal policy in action, right here in Cedar Rapids.

For our latest Policy in Action tour, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst joined Economic Alliance and City of Cedar Rapids Iowa Government officials to see the community’s flood control system and how federal investments are helping protect our businesses, neighborhoods and infrastructure.

The tour offered an opportunity to see her policy work in action and thank her for her efforts to secure federal funding for flood protection in Cedar Rapids.

As Senator Ernst prepares to retire from the Senate, we thank her for her service to Iowa and her partnership in advancing this critical investment in our region’s future.

Thank you to City of Cedar Rapids officials for guiding the tour and to Can Shed, our Policy in Action sponsor, for supporting these connections.

From conversation to an on-the-ground look at our region!

Craig Johnson for Iowa joined Economic Alliance members for a roundtable discussion, where nonprofit leaders shared perspectives and discussed policy issues affecting their organizations and the people they serve.

Following the discussion, we visited Indian Creek Nature Center and Can Shed as a part of our Policy in Action series, connecting policy conversations with the employers, organizations and investments shaping our region.

Thank you to Rep. Johnson for spending the morning with us, our members for contributing to the conversation, and Indian Creek Nature Center and Can Shed for welcoming us. A special thank-you to Can Shed, our Policy in Action sponsor, for making these connections possible!
