Sometimes we get so focused on the next meeting, the next partnership, the next event, or the next challenge that we forget to stop and appreciate how far this organization has come.
This photo captures the team that has built Workforce in Motion, brick by brick. Long before the events, the sponsors, the partnerships, or the headlines, there were a lot of conversations that started with a simple question:
"What if we actually did this?"
What started as an idea has become an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit bringing together students, educators, businesses, workforce agencies, training providers, and community organizations from across Vermont.
Of course, no one builds something like this alone. We are incredibly grateful to partners like Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region and the Rutland Regional Planning Commission who believed in this vision early and helped us get it off the ground. Their support, along with so many others across Vermont, helped turn an idea into something real.
Building a nonprofit is not glamorous. It is long days, tough conversations, endless emails, constant problem solving, and a whole lot of faith that the work matters. But every week, every day, we see moments that remind us why we started - we believe deeply in this mission, and that keeps us moving.
Feeling grateful for this team, our partners, and everyone who has been part of the journey so far. We are proud to be building this for our community.
Onward.
