We’re so excited to bring the inaugural Workforce in Motion Workforce Leadership Forum to life on September 28, bringing our exhibitors together with educators, workforce partners, and community leaders from across Vermont the night before the Summit.

We’re incredibly grateful for some of the folks helping make this night so special. Thank you to The Vermont Community Foundation, who has believed in Workforce in Motion and supported the work we’re building across Vermont. We’re so excited to welcome local leaders Lauren Curry, who will share insights from her Gone Guys Film, and Kevin Chu of the Vermont Futures Project to the conversation.

We’ve heard it endlessly in our conversations across Vermont: we need to bridge the gap between education and industry. So, here we are. We’re bringing our exhibitors into a room with educators, workforce partners, and community leaders from across the state and creating the space for relationships to form and conversations to happen. This is what we're here for.

Add in the Lake Champlain Chamber’s Business After Hours and our friends from the Vermont Specialty Food Association and Vermont Brewers Association, and September 28 has become pretty special all on its own!

We’re proud to have Workforce in Motion founder Russ Marsan joining leaders from across Vermont to talk about something we’ve been working on every day: how we build stronger pathways from career awareness and exploration to training, opportunity, and ultimately employment.

What started as a regional idea is quickly growing into a statewide model. After bringing more than 1,150 students and 65 businesses together in Rutland this spring, we’re bringing Workforce in Motion to Chittenden County THIS MONTH, with the next WIM Summit happening September 29 at the Champlain Valley Exposition.

We’re excited to be part of the conversation about what it takes to scale this work, connect more Vermonters with opportunity, and strengthen Vermont’s workforce pipeline. Thank you to the Vermont Chamber for bringing leaders together around solutions and action.

Businesses must be registered by August 30 to be included in the Workforce in Motion Student Passport Challenge!

School partners will receive materials in advance, giving counselors, teachers, and chaperones a chance to introduce students to the businesses and career pathways they'll find on September 29. Then, the Passport helps drive students across the exhibitor floor to explore, ask questions, and make connections.

With Casella Waste Systems as our Title Sponsor, the Lake Champlain Chamber as our host partner, and WCAX-TV and the Vermont Department of Labor joining us in support, September 29 is shaping up to be a big day for Vermont's workforce.

We made the front page! We’re so grateful to the Burlington Free Press for helping spread the word about the Summit and the opportunities we’re creating for Vermont students and job seekers.

Excitement is building, and we cannot wait to bring students, educators, employers, training providers, and community together at the Champlain Valley Expo for a day built around exploration, connection, and opportunity.

A day for the emails to quiet, the conversations to happen in person, and the advocates, partners, and friends doing this work every day to come together and inspire both the next generation and Vermont’s current workforce.

Every good Passport Challenge needs a pit stop! That's why we're so excited to have EastRise Credit Union joining us on September 29 and taking over the back of our student passports.

EastRise is creating a fun space where students can take a minute, work on their passports, connect with their team, and try a financial literacy game built right into the passport itself. Career exploration isn't just about figuring out what you might want to do someday. Learning how to manage the money you earn matters too.
