Building community, with affordable housing, one family at a time.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plymouth, Inc., is a non-profit, 501(c)3, tax-exempt organization incorporated under the laws of Massachusetts and an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, Inc. Habitat for Humanity (both the international organization and its local affiliates)is a nondenominational, Christian housing organization that welcomes all faith relations to join in building simple, decent, affordable, houses in partnership with those in need of adequate shelter. The mission of our affiliate is the same as that of Habitat for Humanity International – To eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. In pursuit of that goal, our affiliate strives to provide affordable housing to families in need in the ‘Cranberry Country’ of Plymouth, Carver, Plympton, Middleborough, Lakeville and Kingston, Massachusetts. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plymouth was recognized as an affiliate of Habitat International in 1997 after beginning as a chapter of South Shore Habitat for Humanity in 1995. We completed our first home in 1999 and continue to build homes as well as complete special projects such as critical additions and wheelchair ramps. Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner (partner) families.

We did it!! Together, we raised over $100,000 for affordable housing right here in Greater Plymouth!!

The 2026 Hearts & Hammers Gala brought some truly unforgettable moments, including thoughtful words from WBZ-TV’s Levan Reid, a ton of silent auction prizes, and a spirited live auction bidding war that made HFHGP history.

We are so thankful for everyone who made this possible: our sponsors, donors, guests, bidders, staff, Gala Committee, and Board of Directors. Each of you helped light the way home for families in our community, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

JessicaLee.Photos captured some wonderful moments throughout the evening.

This home is now 🧽🫧 squeaky clean, thanks to our friends at Shine Bright Clean Services!

Thanks to them, the family who will soon be moving in can walk through the door into a space that’s sparkling from top to bottom!

Every finished Habitat home is built by many hands, from volunteers on site, to donors and local businesses who step up in ways big and small. We’re so grateful to have neighbors like Shine Bright in our corner!

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Hearts & Hammers Gala this past Friday! One of our favorite parts of the night was our new Light the Way Home display, where every gift added a light to the house, illuminating the path to affordable homeownership.

We're now less than $1,800 away from meeting our $7,000 goal!

If you want to add your light, it's not too late. Every donation helps a local family in the Greater Plymouth area get one step closer to a safe, affordable place to call home. 🏡

On our largest night of the year, nearly 150 people came together to celebrate our work, and we couldn’t be more thankful. To everyone who came and showed their support in so many ways: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. With a special thank you to our guest speaker Levan Reid.

Couldn’t make it? There’s still time to donate to help us reach our fundraising goal! Visit www.givebutter.com/light-the-way-home

We’re closing out our sponsor spotlight series by recognizing our Heart Sponsors!

Our Heart-level sponsors gave because they believe every family deserves a decent place to live. That belief, multiplied across our whole community of sponsors, is what makes the Hearts & Hammers Gala possible.

Every Habitat home is built one nail, one board, one hammer swing at a time, and our Hammer-level sponsors have helped make sure we never run short of what it takes to keep building. 🔨

Thank you to our Hammer sponsors for grounding this year’s gala in the same hands-on spirit that built the very first Habitat home!

They say it takes a village. At Habitat, it takes a lot of helping hands...literally and figuratively! 🙌

Our Helping Hand sponsors have shown up for this community in so many ways, and together their support adds up to something powerful: more families with a safe, stable place to call home.

Thank you to each of our Helping Hand sponsors — we couldn't swing a hammer without you. 🔨

Come celebrate alongside these businesses, and many others, at the Gala next Friday, October 16: 🎟 www.tinyurl.com/HFHGala26

Our Dream Builder sponsors' support for this year's Hearts & Hammers Gala means local families are closer to a safe, stable, and affordable place to call home.

We're grateful to each and every one of these businesses for that kind of generosity, and for everything they make possible.

To our Dream Builders: thank you for investing in our community and helping to make the dream of affordable homeownership come true! 👏🏻
