Hello everyone. Normally we don't want to engage in this kind of negativity on this page as we feel that we have created a fun, unique, and safe environment for our Veteran guests and their families to come enjoy a day at the racetrack with us.
But in the picture below, you can see a rather scathing, and what we feel is, unnecessary message written about our annual Memorial Day event that we share with Palmer Motorsports Park. Palmer has been gracious enough to allow us on the track at absolutely no cost to us, for many years now. All of their staff volunteer for the day in order to open the track up and make it a fun and safe event for everyone. The track also decided to include law enforcement professionals and first responders over the last couple of years as a way to say thank you as well. This was not meant to detract from the importance of having veterans and military personnel at the event. It was meant to bolster the community as a whole.
In addition to the track staff that volunteer for the day, our entire organization is made up of volunteers with primary jobs, family commitments, and many other aspects of life that they deal with on a daily basis. But every year, our staff come together in order to bring these events to our special guests, with absolutely no compensation whatsoever.
If someone is truly going to get that bent out of shape and upset over sharing an event with first responders, then they are more than welcome to not attend, nor follow us on any social media. That type of anger and hatred, especially towards police officers, has no place in our hearts, nor at our events. We hope you all feel the same as us, and we are proud to say that in 11 years of doing this we have never had any issues at any of our events.
We strive to continue that way, and we look forward to seeing all of you at the next event very soon. Thank you all for your understanding and support. If anyone has any constructive suggestions we always welcome them through our website on our "contact" page.
