Recently, CFLC was honored to present three, $2500 scholarships to graduating seniors entering the field of elementary education. The 2026 recipients are Emeli Vargas-Trujillo, Layla Carey, and Cassandra Teed. Congratulations to these CHS graduates with a very bright future ahead of them!

We have supported many future elementary teachers with scholarships in the past and sincerely look forward to the opportunity to support more in the future. It is our joy to provide funding as a way of helping seniors accomplish the worthwhile goal of becoming an early childhood or elementary teacher and instilling a love of reading in their students.

We love to be able to pour back into the wonderful Carthage community! We, absolutely, could not do this without YOU…the community who supports our endeavors with such generosity-from donating funding for book giveaways, scholarships, supporting our fundraisers and even donating gently used books for our Little Free Libraries! “It takes a village” and we, definitely, appreciate our friends in our community! 🍁❤️
